After that night the tour seemed to fly by. The nights no longer seemed long when I slept with Kevin. Before we knew it we were in California and I was getting a tour of their house. Kevin led me to the couch and pulled me onto his lap. "I guess it's time for you to go." His eyes filled with tears.
"Can't we keep her?" Alix begged.
"We will feed her and cloth her!" Manny joined in.
"And take her for walks and clean up after her" Evan chuckled.
"Please!" They asked in unison.
"Do you want to stay?" Kevin asked me. "We can enroll you in school, start off clean, live with us"
"I'd love to" I hugged him tighter.
"Oh my go thank you!" He hugged me back, his body shook in happiness.
The others gathered around for a group hug. All of us sat smiling like idiots. The house soon rang with laughter as they were all excited to be home, and so was I. A home, I've never really had a place I called home. I lived with my family, but it never felt like I belonged there, but with these guys, I belonged.
As the day faded into night we all sat in a circle in pajamas. I rested my head on Kevin shoulder as they talked about the tour. "Over all which date was your favorite?" Alix asked.
"The one where we met Maria" Kevin wrapped his arm around me and pulled me close.
"I have to agree, it wouldn't have been the same without her." Manny spoke without looking up from his phone.
"She had brought us a lot of excitement, good and bad" Evan laughed and began drumming on the ground.
"No, oh, I'm the drummer here" manny cocked his head to the side. "It's my turn" he started drumming a beat. Pretty soon all of us were laughing and patting the ground, creating a decent rhythm.
"I must say though" manny brushed off his hands and leaned back. "Tour would've been a lot different without you"
"Would've been safer" Evan winked at Kevin.
"Would've been more boring" Kevin smirked and kissed my forehead.
"I can't thank you guys enough" I smiled. "Part of me still thinks this is a dream"
"One long dream" Kevin laughed.
"Inception" Alix sighed. We all looked at him. "You've never seen inception? It's Leonardo D-" he paused. "Never mind it wasn't all that great of a movie anyway.
"Speaking of movies, why don't we have a sleepover" Manny suggested.
"We just got off tour I want my bed" Alix laughed.
"What's one more night?" Kevin stood up. "I'll go get blankets, Manny make popcorn, Alix pick out a movie, Evan watch Maria and clear the floor. Now split"
Evan and I worked together to create a large gap on the floor. Kevin came and filled the gap with an unnecessary number of blankets and pillows. Manny entered with three bowls of popcorn and Alix had chosen to watch Inception after all. We turned off the lights and I laid between Manny and Kevin. We watched the movie in silence, the only sound other than the tv was the occasional crunch of popcorn or typing of phone keys.
Evans mouth suddenly fell open as he gasped at his phone. "What is it?" Kevin asked.
"We just got booked for a world tour!"
"Oh my god are you serious?" Alix laughed.
"You're kidding me?" Manny smiled.
"One catch though" Evan sighed.
"Which is?" Kevin pressured him.
"In three days we have to appear on some Tokyo show, which means flying there tomorrow, and tour would begin only days after the show"
Kevin's eyes met mine frantically. "I can't"
I wrapped my arms around his neck and smiled. "Yes you can"
"I can't leave you behind and you need to go to school, I'm sorry boys we can't."
I shushed him. "I will go to school, I'll be okay" I watched tears come to his eyes. "I know how much you guys mean to people, and how much you help them, unknowingly even, you've helped me more that I needed, and these fans, all over the world, need your help too, I believe in you Kevin" I kissed him softly. His lips quivered. "I'll be right here waiting when you get back."
