So a little time skip to two days later.

Kyles POV

"Where are we?"

"I don't know Max."

"How much longer?"

"I don't know MAX."

"Are we there yet?"

"MAX, SHUT UP OR I'LL TURNING THIS CAR AROUND!"

"......."

"Thank you."

".........Can we g-"

"MAX!" Everyone yelled in unison.

We were somewhere in Canada trying to find the temple for said person. We looked at the map and go figure, they are some where in our home country.

I was in passenger, Jules was driving, because only she could, Sam and Rachel where in the seats behind us, Max and Sar where in the back, and Jade and Kane where flying above keeping look out.

These Sentinels better be worth it.

"Kyle, are you okay?" Jules asked me. "Just peachy." I snapped back. She opened her mouth like she was about to say something, but instead decided to shut up and focused back on the road.

I know I'm being selfish, I should be helping my team but right now, I couldn't give two shits about them. I...I need some time to accept my fathers death.

"Guys, we're here." Kane said flying down to the window. I looked out the windshield and saw it.

"Wow, Max's ancestors sure know how to make a very...grandeur impression." Sar said from the back.

I gotta admit it was impressive.

We pulled up in front of the ancient temple and gathered around the hood.

"Okay, everyone will go in we don't know what we will face down there." Jules stated. "Sounds like a plan." Max said.

Damn, it's cold in here. We were in the temple and I'm pretty sure we're underground, judging by the way the sound bounces on the walls, it sounds like an insulated house. And to top it all off, it's almost pitch black.

"Sar, do you think you could....uh...." Jules asked.

"Sure." She replied. Sar waved her hand and it caught fire. We could see the narrow passageway, and the giant spiders. God, I hate spiders.

"Alright, let's go!" Jules exclaimed. When did I start calling her Jules I mean sure she's my friend and all but...its just a little weird. Wow, she looks beautiful in the firelight. I just wanna-OH MY GOD IS THAT A SPIDER ON MY SHOULDER.

I quickly turned around to see Max making squiggly fingers in the crick of my neck. His face changed from amused to pained when I sent a bit of earth to between his legs. He groaned while I continued on.

"Guys, I think we're in the main chamber." Sam said.

I looked around and sure enough it was a huge room with stone walls and carvings depicting ancient history.

"GAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAH!"

We all turned to see Max writhing on the ground his eyes yellow and shooting out lightning. We all rushed to his side only to be blown away.

"GAH, IT HURTS......SO MUCH!!!" He screamed.

Was this trip really worth Max's life?

Max:*faints and Sar catches him*

Sar:You're evil......I like you.
