A/N: Hey guys, my power is out right now at my house for some weird reason and I cant write at home because the power outage cut it off! So thankfully, I'm at a place with Wi-Fi right now so I can get another chapter up really quick! So I hope you guys like this one, but I'm warning you right now IT'S GONNA BE A SAD ONE! Be sure to grab the tissues while you're reading this one!

You ran as fast as your legs could carry you, dodging the startled pedestrians as you passed and running through winding streets, huffing and puffing the frigid London air that made your throat sting with every heavy breath you took. You had to run faster, even though it wasn't humanly possibly for you to. You couldn't let him die. Not your friend. Not like this.

You needed him.

Whether you would admit it or not, the past five years of your life living with the spontaneous genius Sherlock Holmes had changed you from the inside out. He made you a better person and even though he would deny it, he was your hero. And that was all the reason you needed to save him now.

You knew what he had gotten himself into, even though he didn't.

He had just decided to go on a case... Well that's what he thought. The whole thing was really a trap. A plan to kill him and that couldn't happen. You wouldn't allow it.

But with what deduction ability you developed over the years you were able to piece all of it together and thank God you did. You now had a chance to save a life.

The life of someone you had secretly loved for five years.

But there was no time to think. You had just gotten to the location and there wasn't a second to spare as you ran into the entrance of the auditorium of an old, rusty theatre house in the outskirts of London. And that's when you saw him...

Standing in the center of the stage with a man holding him at gunpoint. His finger on the trigger... About to shoot.

There was no time....

Not a millisecond of time to think....

And that's when you ran. Every movement like you were running underwater. It was hard to breathe... To difficult to think. So hard to even function...

BOOM!

The gun was fired. The sound echoing through the empty seats of the theater...

You did it...

You saved him. Pushed him out of the way to safety.

But the next thing you knew, you fell to the hard floor with a bullet in your chest. Searing pains shot through your whole body. But the satisfaction was enough to overwhelm it. The relief. Reassurance that he was still alive. It was enough.

"Y/N?!"

His voice was blurred in your ringing ears and so was his whole figure. But only for a moment. He fell to his knees and put your head in his lap while frantically putting a small bit of pressure on your wound with his infamous blue scarf he always wore around.

Oh, the memories...

All the cases you had solved triumphantly, the silliness of your relationship, all the parties you two were dragged to... You could go on forever. All of the memories that you had collected over the past five years of your life had made this all worth it.

You put your shaking hand on his cheek so he might look at you. "L-look at me..." You squeaked out, your voice a barely audible but he did look at you. His eyes were fearful and anxious, panicked and restless.

"Why did you do this Y/N? Why, why, why...." He asked in a trembling voice.

You smiled faintly, every breath was starting to burden you. "Because I love you..." You managed to say and he looked at you with utter bewilderment.

"You're not going to die. Do you understand? I'm not letting you die. Just hang in there please..." He pleaded, his eyes visibly filling with tears and you breathlessly smiled at him.

"It's okay." You rasped out, reaching for his hand and grabbing a hold on it. "I don't feel any pain. An you're here with me. That's all I care about right now." You said, before coughing with what little bit of breath still lied in you.

"No..." He whispered, scanning over you with watery, crystal blue eyes as you felt yourself slipping away.

"Y/N, please hang on." He pleaded, tears now steadily falling from his blue and green irises. "I love you. I love you so much and I can't let you go..." He confessed, gently caressing the side of your face with his warm, soft hand.

You smiled and a tear fell from your eyes at the passionate confession and that's when you slipped away, letting yourself go.

"I'll see you on the other side."

A/N: I'm sorry guys. I got this idea and had to write it because I had never written something like this before and I wanted to give it a try.

But just so you all know, and maybe this will make you feel better, but I was honestly in tears writing this. XD

But anyways, I don't have power at the moment and my internet is down and I'm going on vacation tomorrow, so if you were wondering why this was updated so early, there's the reason.

And so, if you're still sad, here's a really bad pun that may or may not make you laugh.

I wondered why the baseball was getting bigger... Then it hit me.

Confess. It made you laugh XD

Love you guys! <3
