"O-our son?" He questions, his eyes willed with shock and misted over with fear.

You smiled faintly with a small nod. "Yes." You say, even though you were scared too. You didn't know what was going on in that head of his. You never could tell, no matter how good you thought you could read him, you never knew what he was thinking.

"Well- um...." He started, standing up a little straighter. "C-can I meet him?" He stuttered hesitantly. You could tell that he genuinely wanted to meet him, but Sherlock had told me he was always afraid of being a parent because of always running around on cases and because Moriarty might use him against us.

You smiled a little at the question anyways. "Of course you can." You say. "John was watching him with May's help I was at work so they should be here any minute now." You say and not even a second later, there was a small knock on the door before John and Mary came inside.

They didn't know he was alive yet...

"(Y/N).... What is he doing here?" John asked and I saw him clench his fist.

"John not in front of the baby." You said, silently pleading but when he didn't reply you knew he would argue anyways.

"Please." You pleaded him with sad, eager eyes and he sighed before simply leaving and Mary came up to you and gently handed you the baby.

Timothy Eric Holmes....

He looked like his father. Dark hair and stunning blue eyes, pale soft skin with a cute, blushing button nose. And you knew that some day, he would be as brilliant as his father. His amazing father.

You looked at Sherlock and what you saw... It melted your heart.

He had tear filled eyes when he saw your son.

His son...

Little Timothy looked up at his father with wonder filled eyes and squirmed a little in my arms before reaching out to his father.

It was precious.

This moment was something that you wanted to never end and you would give anything for this to never stop.

"I think he wants you Sherl." You say with a smile and he looked at you, a little nervousness showing in those stunning blue and gold orbs that you missed...

"Can I?" He asked gently, holding out his arms for the baby.

"Of course you can." You say softly. "He's your son."

He smiled a little and you gently handed Timothy to him and he carefully took him in his arms, looking down at him. "My son..." He whispered with a hint of pride in his voice.

You felt tears come to your eyes at the sight. It was one you never thought you'd see the moment you found out you were pregnant. He was your first thought when you found out.

Your son would have no father....

But you were wrong. And you couldn't be happier that you were wrong.

"What's his name?" Sherlock asked.

"Timothy Eric." You say.

That made him smile even more and you hadn't even told him the best bit.

"Holmes."

He looked up at you, a little bewildered at hearing his last name.

"I had to." You say. "I wanted him to be yours. Have your name."

He looked back down at him, now looking like it had all hit him. All of it in an instant. He had a son and... He was a dad now.

That was the part that seemed to hit the hardest.

"(Y/N)?" He asked quietly before taking his eyes to you to look into yours. His gaze was more intense than normal. More intent, eager.

"Yes?" You asked, not knowing what he was thinking. But it made you nervous to not know. Because knowing him it could be anything. Anything.

But whatever it was, maybe it would be good. Or maybe it would be nothing? No. His gaze said otherwise. He had never looked at you that way. Not once during the 5 years you've known him. And it made you a jumble of emotions. Anxious, worried, confused...

And the question replaced all that with shock.

"Will you marry me?"
