We Can't Be Together (Greyson Chance Fan Fiction)

CHAPTER TWENTY-SIX: "Sunshine and City Lights" ~

The fresh pain remains inside your heart and mind. Your eyes are getting tired. Expecting for Lisa Chance to come to the hospital and seeing Greyson in a hospital bed. Which wasn't really an easy situation to handle. The words that the doctors said to you keeps on echoing inside your mind.

The truth is, you had a plan of making the move when you'll take a huge distance from Greyson. It sounds like breaking up with him because your mind is enlightened that you're too young for that kind of relationship, knewing that you have a family and best friends to handle. 

Your quality time with your best friends and family became seldom since Greyson entered your life. You are not sure of what you are feeling as of this moment. Your mind is just so messed up. Until, something unexpected happenned. It's like it's a sign that it's not the perfect time to make this move. You're choosing in between minds. So you set aside those overthinking for a while. 

Back to the scenario, it's already 7 in the morning. Greyson is still asleep. You're the only one on the hospital room with him you're just waiting for him to woke up. But it seems that it' will take long. So you turned on the television to watch some shows. You're not in the mood to watch the local news because most of it are just unusual news that you might not want to hear. 

Several minutes later, you felt like you're hungry, your stomach is grumbling. It's because you haven't took your breakfast yet. The feeling is like your brain isn't with you right now, just like Greyson not just that literal. You hopped off the couch you've slept in, decided to drink a cup of hot choco because it's been kind of cold in Los Angeles lately. Until, someone knocks the door. 

"Who is it?" you said and you opened the doors at the same time. 

"Oh, YN. How was my dear son?" 

Yes. It's Lisa Chance who just knocked off the door, she's with Scott, Alexa and your mom. You never saw Lisa like that before. Your mom hugged you so tight despite of your situation. Alexa came up to you and hugged you as well then after, proceeding beside Greyson's bed. 

"It's been really a though week for us" Alexa said.

"yes, it has been. Wait. Imma go call the doctor for you could talk to him" you said.

Everybody agreed. So you begun to dial the numbers to the doctor's station. His mom keeps on asking so many questions like, how did that happen. She just can't believe that his son is actually laying down on the hospital bed with a critical situation. You just can't explain what did just happened to him. Your eyes just kept on becoming teary while you're talking about that. So you refused for a while and let the doctors go talk to them instead. 

*Fast Forward* 

Lisa is sobbing after she had heard the words from the doctor, it's really a different feeling when you see your mom cry. You just can't help it. 

"would he still recognize us?" Lisa asked.

"of course, he will. let's just keep our hopes up and thank that he's alive and nothing very critical has happened to him. He's still blessed." Scott replied to Lisa while he comforts her. 

Alexa is sitting next to you, your mom needs to go to Greyson's apartment for a while. So she could check it and bring some things for Greyson. 

Several moments later, You just saw Greyson's hand slowly moving, knewing that he's already awake. You calmly went beside of his bed and so Lisa and Scott followed. 

"Greyson, dear?".. Lisa softly said.

"YN, i thinks it's better to call the doctor to check his vitals." she added. 

"Alright, i'll call him." you replied. 

You can see his eyes are already opening, but he's not saying anything. This may be caused by the Trauma. The doctor immediately went to Greysons room with the nurses to check his condition and  because of he's already awake. The doctor talked to Greyson but he's not really saying anything, he couldn't even say anything nor hear anything. It's been really strange. You're expecting that Greyson would asked that  where is he or who he was and all of the things that some patients say after a tragedy they just encountered. But things are acting been so strange. He is awake, all he does it to nod, but the good thing is that he could hear and understand what you guys are saying. It's just he couldn't speak. 

All you have to do is make Greyson speak again, because you and his family isn't the only one who are affected, but also his singing career. What could happen to his future now, without his voice? You take a moment of silence and prayed to God for his safety and hoping that everything would go back to normal. 

You feel sorry for him and his family. You're keeping in mind that "everything happens for a reason" and that reason is the ones you have to figure out in this situation. 

Lisa is already at the hospital, so she'll just spend the whole days with Greyson. you think that it's time for you to leave now for a while. Greyson and Lisa needs a moment of their own. You grabbed some of your things and said your goodbyes to Lisa with a hug. Alexa said that she'll go with you. 

Oh you miss Greyson so much. You kept on thinking your bonding moments with each other while you're walking down the hallway up to the pavement to catch a taxi cab. Alexa noticed your silence. She understands what you're feeling. She's so sweet and thoughful. You waved to Alexa to say goodbye while you're looking out the window of the Taxi. Greyson's voice is entering your mind..

"sunshine and city lights will guide you home..." 

You're hoping that by the time you went to the hospital again the next day, well, he'll be fine again. And set everything to normal.
