I left Aston in bed the next morning out for the count, usually I'd urge him to get up and go to work but being half an hour late myself his problems are the least of my worries. I will ring him on my break though.

"Here you are! I didn't think you were off today," Clare said as I scrapped past to my desk.

"Please tell me Dan hasn't noticed?"

She shook her head, "He's not in and Sarah's in a meeting."

Letting out a rather large sigh of relief I slumped back in my chair.

"Everything alright?" she asked.

"Yeah, I just laid late that's all," I smiled.

Making a start straight away I'm not so sure if we will even get a break with how busy the office is today, every one of us has paperwork stacked at the end of our desks waiting to be checked. Drowning myself with coffee I sat and thought about Aston at home, no doubt hungover and in bed he's replaced another day at work with an ear bashing from his manager.

"Milk, two sugars with couple of custard creams," Sarah smiled passing my mug across the desk.

"Thank you."

"Sorry, it's a bit hectic today. Just do what you can."

"I'll do my best. I've never sent so many emails and faxes in one morning," I chuckled. "Is it alright if I have a break?"

"Sure."

Reaching in my bag for my phone I dialled straight through to Aston hoping for an answer.

"Hello?" I spoke.

"Hello babes."

"How are you feeling?"

"I can't handle it," he chuckled. "I'm hoping your hangover cure works with these paracetamol."

"Dry toast with juice?"

"That's the one. It's vile."

"I'm guessing you've called in sick."

"Well I didn't get up until half eleven."

"I was going to wake you but I was late myself, besides it's not like you'd be in a fit state."

"It will be alright. Are you busy?"

"I'm on my break, why?"

"Are you in the office?"

"Yeah just at my desk."

"Oh, we can't talk dirty today then?"

"No we can't," I chuckled with him.

Glancing up I noticed Kelly looking over sitting at her desk alone.

"Hold on," I mumbled standing up and leaving the room. "I've got someone listening to my every word."

"Is that Kelly?"

"Yeah."

"She's not giving you trouble is she?"

"No, we haven't spoken to each other since."

"Isn't it awkward?"

"No, there's plenty of others around."

"Busy is it?"

"Manic."

"I'll leave you to it then shall I?"

"I suppose you better."

"Alright. See you later gorgeous."

"See you later."
