I've definitely got that Monday morning feeling going on sitting behind my desk at work, this weekend has past way too quickly.

"Good weekend Kayleigh?" my boss Sarah smiled passing to make herself a coffee.

"Great, thanks. Dinner with a friend on Saturday, chilled on Sunday."

"Sounds better than mine already."

"I heard you were working," I frowned full of sympathy.

"I managed to get everything done Saturday so I had Sunday to myself, but then I spent most of that in bed."

"Ouch."

"What about you Kelly?" she asked passing me a strong coffee with two custard cream biscuits.

"Rubbish, hence why I'm planning next weekend already."

Sarah laughed walking off.

"Are you up for it this time miss busy-body."

"I'm busy again sorry. I'm going home to Essex Saturday."

"No, you're not worming your way out again, you promised you would come out now Charlie's away for a while."

"I'm sorry, but I haven't been home in ages."

"Friday night then, few drinks at mine before we hit the clubs. The lads are coming too."

"What lads?"

"Dan, Tom, Luke."

"Tom? I thought you split up a few months back?"

"There was never a relationship, just one night at Tara's house party. Come on it will be a laugh.."

I rolled my eyes stupidly agreeing to his night out despite knowing Saturday will be an early start.

"Oh and make sure you bring Aston," she grinned already excited at the thought.

"I'll ask him tonight," I said sipping my coffee and looking at the stack of paperwork I have to get through by five o'clock. I best get started.

Kelly has never been a shy one around men, there's always someone on the cards whether its serious or not. Petite and a pretty blonde she's never short of offers either, in fact I think I'd rather Aston not come Friday, but I have to ask. Texting on the quiet I planned to meet him at costa for my lunch break, a baguette and a latte sounds much more appetising than a nescafe instant with the soggy sandwich in bottom of my bag. Anyway, I'm half way through the files so I deserve it.

"Out for lunch babe?" Clare asked.

"Costa. I'll bring some cakes back from Gregg's," I smiled.

"Here, I'll have a chocolate chip muffin."

"No, it's my treat," I said stopping her from reaching in her purse.

"Ah, Thank you."

"See you in a bit."

Costa a two-minute drive up the road I've typically arrived first, finding two seats outside in the sun whilst I waited for Aston to get his arse in gear. His office is just up the road as well so he has no excuse.

"Hello you," he said appearing behind me with his hand squeezing my shoulder.

"I thought you were standing me up."

"I've got a bit of stick from the boss this morning," he moaned.

"I told you he would eventually, you've called in sick for the majority of this month."
