Chapter 22:

"So Mason is your mate," Lucas says.

"Yea I found out like four weeks ago," I say eating a chip.

"Are you going to stay with him?" He asks.

"Uh, yeah," I say confused.

"I'm just asking because I know how you are." He says.

"True, but I was gonna go out with him before I even knew he was my mate," I say.

"Okay." He says.

"Okay?" I ask.

"Yea, I uh think you should get going." He says.

"Why?" I ask.

"Can you just go." He says aggressively then gently says ", please."

"Fine," I shout then walk out the door.

Lucas POV:

"She found her mate," I say to my father causing him to growl.

"I asked you to do one simple thing and you couldn't do that." He says in a calm voice which scares the shit out of me.

"I-I know I-"

"You don't know how to do any fucking thing right, do you." He says throwing a glass across the room.

"I'm sorry it's not my fault," I say.

"It is your fault. Because you don't know how to get a female to fall for you. Now I have to get involved." He says.

"What are you going to do?" I ask.

"That's for me to know and you, well you can just thank me later." He says roughly patting my shoulder. "Now son, clean up this mess before that glass ends up somewhere you don't want it to be."

"Yes, sir," I say as he exits the room.

Athena POV:

"You guys need to concentrate," Kalissa says and I sigh in defeat.

"It's hard to do that with you saying that every five seconds," I say.

"You know when was the last time I wasn't able to have visions when I was awake when I was five," Kalissa says.

"Well, you had training," I say.

"Plus your 100% part of The Clear, we're only 25%," Iah says.

"Those are good points," Kalissa says. "Made by people who don't want to develop their skills."

"Keith can you talk to your sister," Iah says.

"I would, but even though she's being a little harsh she's right. You guys should have access to all of your abilities, Clear wise or other." Keith says and I sigh.

"Can we take a break," I say.

"Sure why not," Keith says.

"No, they can't, they need to be able to do this," Kalissa says.

"Overworking them won't get anything done," Keith says.

"Fine, 20 minutes," Kalissa says.

"Yes, ma'am," I say with a smile and walking away.

"So I was thinking that we could go to a bowling party for our next date," Mason says coming out of nowhere.

"Bowling party?" I ask.

"Yea, why not It'll be fun," Mason says.

"I've never been bowling before, like ever in my life," I say.
