Chapter 3:

When I get home I go into the kitchen and I see a little note on the table. It's most likely from my parents. I pick up the note and start reading it.

We figured that since you were having a party at Ella's house we would go out and party to. If you need anything call us. Happy birthday baby.

Love you,
The parents

I throw the note down on the table and go to the bathroom. I've go a killer headache.

When I finally find the aspirin I get a glass of water then I go to my room. Half way to my bed I felt an agonizing pain going through my arm as my bone cracks and I scream in pain.

Then it happens again and again bringing me down on all fours. It happens again then suddenly it all stops.

"Hello." I hear a voice inside my head say.

"Who's their." I say.

"I'm your wolf. My name is Ava." She says.

"My, my what." I say.

"Your wolf, I know it quit confusing but go to your mirror any you will know what I am talking about." She says.

I slowly walk towards the mirror and look into it and I scream at what I see. But it came out as more of a howl.

I am a wolf with white fur and glowing blue eyes. It looks like I stand about five feet tall. This isn't happening. This was all just one long dream that I need to wake up from.

"This is far from a dream, this is reality and you need to get use to it. Their are alot of people that'll try to hurt us and a lot of people depending on us." Ava says.

"What do you mean." I say.

"You will find out, eventually." She says.

--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

So for the past few minutes I've been trying to figure out what the hell just happened.

I've pinched myself to see if this was a dream about one hundred time. It hasn't worked out yet.

"I just, need to clear my head." I say to myself then I go downstairs and walk out the door.

When I look up at the sky I see the moon is out. But it's not just any other moon. It's a red moon. What did my History teacher call it again. Oh yeah a blood moon.

He said it's only happened once before centuries ago. Why has it decided to show it's face again today. It's strangely beautiful.

Ella's POV: (first POV switch yay)

After I came back home I ended the party. i mean what's the point of having a birthday party for someone who isn't even here.

I hope Athena's okay. She seemed fine but I know my bestfriend. She is good at hiding her pain. Not from me but from everyone else.

"Ella." I hear Elliot scream my name from the kitchen.

"Yea." I say walking towards the kitchen to see him looking out the back door.

"Look." He says and I walk up to him and look at the sky.

"How is this possible." I say.

"She's alive." Elliot says with a smile.

"Mom, dad." I say running downstairs and Elliot follows not so far behind me.

I open the door and see our parents training. My mother always says Oath Keepers have to stay in shape. Even if they have nobody to protect. The family we protect was thought to have died precisely sixteen years ago.

My parents told me that Amelia and her husband Thomas didn't want their protection. They thought they could handle themselves. That's what got them killed. Everyone needs help, even us sometimes.

I mean we are basically just humans on steroids. My mother gets mad everytime I say that but it's still funny.

"What is it honey." My mother says putting her stick down.

"She's alive." I say.

"Who's alive." My dad says looking alittle confused.

"Theirs a blood moon out in the sky, Isabella is alive." Elliot says and our parents look at eachother.

"We need to find her before anyone else does. If they do she can be in hreat danger." Mom says walking towards the computer.

"Don't tell anyone of this." Dad says.

"There are precisely sixty people in our town born on this day and there are one million more around the world." Mom says.

"How do you suppose we find her in all of those people." Elliot says.

"We narrow it down." I say.

"How." He says and I walk up to the computer.

"We take out the the boys then we take out all the people that were born less then sixteen years ago. That'll leave us with ten in our town and one hundred and sixty everywhere else in the world." I say.

"I taught you well." My mom says and I smile at her.

"Okay, we will start by looking in town, who's the first on the list." Dad says.

"Athena Walsh." Mom says.

"It's not Athena." I say.

"How do you know." Elliot says.

"Because we've been bestfriend since the second grade and her parents are human." I say.

"Okay, one less person to look for, who's next." Dad says.

Lucas' POV:

"Son." My father says calling me to the balcony.

"Yes father." I say.

"What do you see right there." He says pointing at the sky.

"A blood moon." I say.

"Do you know what that means." He says.

"It means that Amelia's daughter Isabella is alive." I say.

"Exactly which means that we need to find her." He says.

"Why." I say.

"Because we need to get her on our side. Either that or kill her." He says.

"You getting Amelia killed didn't work well for us last time. You lost your powers and on top of that you made all of us werewolf not be able to turn completely anymore." I say sitting down.

"What do you suggest we do then." He says.

"Leave it to me, I've got a plan." I say.

"Alright, but keep in mind that you can't blow your cover, to anyone." He says.

"Of course not dad." I say.
