I woke up to a loud commotion coming from downstairs. When it finally got annoying and I decided I couldn't fall back asleep, I got up and threw on a tee shirt over my tank top and bustled down the stairs.
"Put it on the porch!" A deep voice yelled.
"Just give it to me!" Another voice I didn’t recognize yelled.
When I turned off the stairs I ran right into my dad. "Oh! Av, I didn't know you were awake." Who could sleep with all the noise?
"Yeah. What's going on?" I asked, stifling a yawn.
A wide smile spread across his face and he wrapped an arm around my shoulders.
"We are going to the beach house!" He announced.
"Really? What made you guys decide to go?" I smiled.
"It was the plan the whole time. Amy didn’t want you to feel too weird about meeting her and Cammie for the first time, so she said it would be a good idea to take you somewhere you were familiar with. Now go pack."
I looked out the door at two guys fighting over some bag. The one that was in control was tall with golden brown hair and piercing green eyes. The other one kind of looked like the guy I already ran into on the bike and saw at the Drop last night.
"Who are they?" I asked pointing outside.
My dad glanced over his shoulder and shrugged.
"Oh, that's Colton and Eli. They live next door. They are going to the beach house with us." Great. "Their parents are out of town and don't trust them to be there alone."
"Oh." I mumbled and started up the stairs.
"Yup. Now hurry, Avery. We are leaving in one hour." He patted my back.
Wonderful. Two pretty hot guys, in a beach house with me and my dad and his new family. This should be an interesting summer.

I smiled the whole fifteen-minute ride, not saying one word the whole time. This is my favorite place to be during the summer. It was like my home away from home. I was crammed between Colton and Eli in the backseat, while Cammie got a whole seat to herself in her carseat. Lucky her!
"Av, we're here." My dad said, turning around in his seat.
As soon as the SUV stopped, I swung open the door and climbed over Colton, which I immediately regretted when he hit my butt.
"Excuse you!" I said to him, but he didn't hear it because he and Eli were laughing about how funny it was. I rolled my eyes.
I grabbed my bag and ran up the porch stairs. I can always remember the chipped white paint, the old wicker rocking chairs, the broken shutter on the left window, and all the memories from this house. It was so comforting to be at a place I knew so well.
"Dad, do I still get my yellow room?" I asked.
He slightly frowned and shook his head. "No, I thought we'd give it to the boys. There are two of them and only one of you and it's bigger. You know what I mean?"
"Sure." I mumbled and slowly walked to the pink room. Did I mention I hated pink?
