I'm so sick and tired of Isabella. She said that she has been talking to Eli and he told her everything that had happened last time I was in Baker and the worst part? She freaking believes him. He told her I dumped him for Colton. He said that Colton and me made out at dinner, so he got up and left.
That’s bullcrap. I would never do that to Eli. I loved Eli, literally, but I don’t care anymore. It’s just the fact that Isabella believes him over me. Isabella and I aren’t even talking at this point. Some best friend.
But I have a new guy in my life. After a month of sulking over Eli, Griffin walked into my crumbling life.
“Hey, you’re Avery Jordan, right?” Griffin asked.
“Yeah, and you’re Tanner Kelpo?” I smiled.
“Well you’re almost right. Tanner is my first name, I go by Griffin though.” He smiled back.
Since that tiny conversation, Griffin seem to always be around. We started hanging out everyday, talking on the phone for hours, and having Facetime dates. He finally made me realize that I didn't need Eli or Colton anymore. He showed me that I could be perfectly content with a guy from Anderson and for once in my life, I didn't have any drama.
Three months later Griffin became my boyfriend and he still is. We are happy on our four-month anniversary and we are graduating tomorrow. I’m taking him to meet my dad this summer. No one knows. It’s going to be a surprise. My dad will be happy to see me, he wasn’t expecting me this summer. I told him I didn’t think I would be coming, but he said if I decided to, that they would be at the Summer House and my room would be waiting for me.
Tonight though, Griffin and I were going out for dinner. He said it was our graduation dinner since I had a surprise for him tomorrow. I got dressed in a form fitting silver mini-dress and pulled my hair back in a slick ponytail. I topped the outfit off with silver heels.
“Hey. You look beautiful.” Griffin said when I walked outside.
“Thanks. You look great, too.” I still got butterflies everytime I saw him.
“Man Avery, I just can’t believe we have been together this long. I have liked you for I don’t know how long and you always had a guy, but now you’re all mine.” He said as we ate our food.
“I’m real happy, too, Griffin. I’m happier than I’ve been in a long time.” I said, stealing a kiss from him.
“So are you going to tell me what the big secret is?” He asked.
I smiled at him as he dove into his Maui Maui.
“Nope. Just make sure you pack your bathingsuit and lots of shorts, we might can forget your shirts.”
“Only if you forget your tops.” He laughed, so did I. “I’m just kidding. Well how long are we going to be gone? My over protective mom wants to know.”
“I don’t know. It all depends on how long you want to stay.”
“Baby, as long as I’m with you, I’ll stay where ever for however long you want.”
I smiled, but I didn’t say anything. I knew Griffin and I were going to last a long time. We had something special. I have never had these kinds of feelings before Griffin came into my life except for Colton.
He drove me home after dinner saying I needed some sleep for tomorrow. We stood on my front porch and just stared into each other’s eyes. His baby blues piercing right through my green ones. I held on to him like I’d never see him again.I had experienced heartbreak too much lately. I never wanted to loose him. I think he meant more to me than any other guy has ever meant to me.
