It Doesn't Mean I Can't Do This...

Did I really just come to Levi Locks’ home? Were we really in Levi Locks’ room alone? Ohmygosh, why the heck am I here in Levi Locks’ arms?

“So Av, have you missed me?” Levi whispered in my ear, running his hand up and down my arm.

I swallowed hard and nodded slightly. I didn’t miss him, at all. Especially not after what happened at the Drop the other night. I mean, how could anyone in their right mind miss a person as gross as Levi?

“I’ve missed you a lot. Everything about you.” He purred into my ear, again.

“Le-"

Before I could get out what I wanted, his lips were on mine, his tongue trying to push it's way into my mouth. I pushed him back.

“No, I have to go.” I said urgently.

“No you don’t, baby. Just stay.” He pushed his lips to mine again.

“No.” I pushed him off and made a run for the door.

“You’ll never change Avery, never change.” He laughed, sitting up on his elbows.

When I was outside again, I breathed in the warm May air and closed my eyes. What did I just do?

As I stood there, I heard tires screech. I shot open my eyes and there in a black Ford F-150 was Eli. Where the heck did he get that truck from?

“What do you think you’re doing? Do you not know what he has done to you since you’ve been here? What names he has got you? Have you lost your mind completely?” He said in one breath. Anger was all over his tan face.

I just stood there like an idiot. I didn’t know what to say because right now I left like I might have gone crazy.

“Doesn’t look like she wants much to do with you, E. You’ve done pissed her off and she doesn’t want anything to do with you. You should leave.” Levi said, standing on his balcony, smoking a cigarette.

Eli stared up at him with the most disgusted look ever.

“You can shut the hell up for all I care You're the biggest piece of trash I have ever seen. I don't get why she comes running back to you. You've done nothing but use her and treat her like pure crap and she still comes running back. It amazes me.”

I looked up at Levi. I couldn't stand hearing Eli talk like that.

“Can you take me home?” I asked Levi.

He nodded and disappeared back into his room.

“What are you doing, Avery? Let me take you home or at least call Colton to take you home. Please.” Eli begged. His face now changed from anger to begging. His eyes took on that puppy dog look and his curls didn't seem to have that bounce they normally did.

Levi was now pulling out of his garage with the top down on his convertible. He slipped his shades on and beckoned me to his car.

I smiled at Eli, which I know was a bad move, and scurried over to Levi. Knowing Eli was staring, I allowed Levi to slip his arm around me.

“You don’t even understand! She was at Levi’s house, she ran out of Levi’s house, and she got Levi to drive her home when I was right there!” Eli yelled when I was walking up to the house. His face was completely red.

“Dude, just chill out. It’s just a girl. There are plenty of others out there.” Colton was saying casually.

I opened the front door as quietly as I could. They didn’t move a muscle when I walked past them to the stairs. They were parked in front of the TV watching some stupid show that had girls in bikinis on, even though Eli didn't seem like he could concentrate very well.
