*Colton POV

"......I just want to know if it's all worth it or not, you know?" Avery asked, biting off a piece of jerky.

I stared at her. I looked into her beautiful green eyes, she smiled at me. I moved a piece of her brown hair back that had fallen out of her ponytail. "Yeah, I know what you mean."

"I've been wondering if all the crap I've , we've, been through is really going to pay off in the end. All the fights, tears, break ups, smiles, kisses, everything. You know? I just want to know if you were worth the fight." She looked out  my window as she said this.

She jumped off the table and ran over to my bed, sitting Indian style. "God Avery, you're so cute. I've missed you so much."

I pulled her into a hug. It felt so nice having her in my arms again. It's been way too long. "Colton, you know, even though it's been so long since we've seen each other, I love that we are exactly how we were then. Still so open with each other and still so in love." She kissed my cheek.

It was sometime in the afternoon. We had been back from Far Beach for a while now. I knew she was waiting for the moment Eli would come running into the room. They were best friends, I knew it and I was really glad the girl I was in love and my brother got along so well.

There was a knock on my door and then it burst open. "Avery!!" Eli sang at the top of his lungs.

Avery jumped off my bed and into Eli's arms. My whole room just got a million times brighter. All of us, best friends, were back together. Everything was going back to normal.

"Wow. It's so good to see that smile again! It's great to see you out of your bed now. God, it's been too long!" Eli wrapped her into another bear hug.

Eli looked at me, long and hard. I nodded.

"Av, we have something to tell you. It's kind of important. Come sit down." I said. She made her way over to my bed and Eli followed behind her. The mood of the room seemed to have darkened. She could tell this was something important.

She looked up at us, expectantly. "Alright. So do you remember when you told us to go tell someone about Tom?" She nodded. "Well the day you told Colton and I to leave your house, the first thing Colt said was that he knew where we had to go. We went to the Anderson Police Department and we turned Tom in." Her eyes grew. "He's gone. He's no longer in our lives. He can't hurts us or my mom. He can't call you a whore again. Avery, we're safe again and it's all because of you."

"We couldn't thank you enough." I said, draping an arm over her shoulder.

"Oh you boys! Come here!" She pulled both of us in for a hug. "I really do love you guys."

*Avery POV

I was back where I always have belonged. It's always been meant that I was with the Evan boys. They are the two people that have always been there for me, through thick and through thin. I know that no matter what we go through, they will be here for me, no matter the distance. I was truely happy again since the passing of my brother. I felt like I could breath again and to be honest, I never felt more alive.

"I really do love you guys." I said.

"You know we love you, too, Avery." Eli said, kissing my cheek. "Now, can we all get ready and go do something? I'm tired of sitting in the house already. All this running with mom has made me never want to be in the house." We all laughed.
