"Your father's business,  his skills, his reputation, they dragged you into this ". A voice called out through the darkness, an unknown hand reached forward stroking her  cheek. She found herself unable to move, her  legs locked in place refusing to move. Mia swallowed the forming lump in her dry throat.

"Who are you"? She asked bravely despite her trembling form, a chuckle erupted through the darkness. Suddenly a purple fluorescent light turned on basking the pure white room in a pale, violet hue, revealing the man who kept laughing at her. Taunting her.

He had messy black hair that was pushed back out of his face, seemingly glowing smooth skin with dark haunting eyes. He had strong set cheekbones and very soft almost pouty lips. The man walked forward stopping in front of her, his tall form towered over her. He leaned down slightly, as if to intimidate her.

"I am your downfall."

The brunette jolted awake suddenly, the voice of the nameless man echoed through her ears like a mantra. Shakily Mia raised a hand to her forehead, wiping away the cold sweat that covered her brow. Slapping her hands down into her duvet with an exasperated sigh. Mia glanced to her right side eyeing the alarm clock that stood on top of her nightstand.

The digital green numbers indicated that it was as 6:20am. It was earlier than she would typically wake up. But Mia knew she would have no comfort in resting after the dream that just played through her mind.

Throwing her suffocating blankets off her body the brunette stood up, and slowly began to get ready for her 8:00 am lecture.

The young girl tiredly trudged down the busy early morning sidewalk following her typical route, her steps were uneven, plagued by her own grogginess. Mia silently ate a granola bar attempting to gather some energy as she approached her best friend's house, quickly scarfing it down as she arrived at the front door.

Quickly Mia hopped up onto the porch and rang the doorbell accordingly, she waited a few short seconds for the door to open. Revealing her beautiful friend Seon, the tall and slender woman stood at about 5'7. Pale skin, straight eyebrows and dark ruby red lips. Mia smiled to her friend warmly instantly Seon smiled back as she closed the door behind her. Her beautiful friend, her longest friend too. Mia and her father moved around quite frequently, as a result none of her friendships seemed to last. Distance made communication nearly impossible, especially at a younger age. As everyone grew, they seemed to forget about the girl.

"Ready"? Mia asked earning a silent nod from Seon as the two silently walked down the concrete steps onto the empty sidewalk. Her friend began to fill the silence chatting about her morning, and how she switched from coffee to tea because she was attempting a caffeine cleanse. The brunette listened inattentively, but her mind still lingered on the dream. His cold words echoed through her mind, and Mia kept pondering on the notion, how could one single man become her downfall?

As the two arrived on campus and approached their lecture halls, Mia bit her lip as she adjusted her bag miserably over her shoulder.

"What's up with you, you're typically talking my ear off by now"? Seon asked softly noticing her friend's strange behaviour. Mia sighed as she turned a corner, narrowly dodging a skateboarder who zipped past.

"I had a dream, it was strange, my dad's been working super late again, and well it's just making me think". The brunette stated softly, Seon nodded letting out a smooth 'ah' in response to Mia's revaluation.
