The brunette remained still as the man lingered silently behind her, the fear of his fire arm weighed deeply in her mind. Mia wondered just what this man had up his sleeve, there was a deep inhale from behind her sending the hairs on the back of her neck up into a fine point.
"I wonder what your worth is"? The man spoke as his hand slowly creeped forwards, snatching a lock of her long hair in his wrinkly hand. Mia flinched away from his hold slightly, attempting to space herself from his touch. A chuckle erupted from behind her as the man tightened his hold on her hair, snapping her head back. Mia growled lowly as the man forced her to look up to the darkened sky above her head. At this angle she could easily spot the man who loomed above her, a sickening smirk was slathered across his old face.
"Tell me, how do you know that man"? The older man asked his eyes landing on the unconscious Lay. Mia paused before she answered, wondering what answer would buy her more time.
"Is it business, coincidence or maybe even friendship..judging by your blood shot eyes I'm assuming he's a friend". The man assessed slowly, his gaze locked down onto her semi calm face. Mia cursed internally at her own strong emotions, but then again who wouldn't act the way she did. The brunette remained silent, she knew her words would betray her so she wouldn't even attempt to speak.
"Nothing eh?" The man began as he slowly circled around her crouched body, stopping between herself and Lay. Mia watched him with an unwavering glare as the man pulled the gun from her head and pointed it to Lay. The brunette felt her breath hitch in her throat as the mans gun landing onto the unconscious Lay.
"Your silence makes me assume you don't knows this man, nor care". Her assailant began, Mia felt her body begin to shake and eyes begin to water.
"Wait"! Mia interjected suddenly, the man smirked as he clicked the safety down in one swift motion. The brunette felt her adrenaline begin to pump thickly through her veins, he was going to shoot Lay for the second time. Mia growled, pushing her feet up against the gravel ground and shooting herself towards the man. The brunette latched onto his wrist, jerking his hand upwards as he fired his weapon off. The bullet narrowly missed Lays hip, Mia pulled her gaze from her unconscious friend and landed onto the man before her. Her assailants gaze hardened as the two began to struggle for the gun. It didn't take long for the man to overpower the nimble girl before him, shoving her back into the cold red brick behind her.
"Lying to me about your relation to that man! How cruel"! The man before her spat as he dropped his gun and grabbed a handful of her dark locks. Mia snarled as the man pulled her deeper into the alley way roughly, the brunette thrashed around taking clunky steps in an attempt to get the mans hands from her. Violently he threw her down, boxing the small girl in the dark alley way. From his point she still had a clear view of Lay, he was peacefully laying there unconscious. Mia eyed him sadly as the man above her let out a deep chuckle before continuing his assault on her.
"I'm gonna make this slow because that's the funnest game there is to play". The man teased as he winded his leg back and sent a powerful rib crunching kick into her abdomen. Mia let out a hack of air as the man crouched over her body as she doubled over in pain. Grabbing hold of a her hair the man pulled Mia violently up from the ground. The brunette screamed loudly as the man pulled his fist back and punched her in the face. The blow landing close to her eye, Mia growled lowly from the mixture of pain that was pulsating through her body like a cocktail.
"Now, who are you"? The man asked as he dropped to his knees, still holding Mia's hair tightly within his grip. The brunette chuckled bitterly as she felt her eye slowly becoming harder to see out of.
"I'm no one". The girl replied with a wide smile, the man didn't like her reply at all his face hardened and quickly punched her in the nose. Mia grunted in pain resulting in the man to drop her long hair, the brunette fell to the ground weakly, tears collected in her eyes while blood poured out from her nose. The brunette was too injured to do anything at this point, shakily she pushed herself up. Just in time to the see the mans foot meeting her rib cage for the second time. Mia choked out as the man pulled her body up off the ground only to throw her into the opposing wall. The brunette met the brick with a weak yelp, she tumbled down onto the ground landing in a heap.
