"Wait what." The woman began her confusion lacing her tone, she felt her world spinning. Leave? He wanted her to leave? Mia felt betrayed after all that she just confessed. She could have left before and she sure as hell wouldn't now it seemed like such a foreign concept.
"Suho mentioned it, the two spoke directly." His tone was cold and distant, she felt herself recoiling from his hand as they sat stopped in the garage. Mia couldn't wait any longer, the silence was suffocating, and her anxiety was rising. Her heart beat poured in her chest, and a numb ringing resonated through her ears. The woman reach for the door clumsily placing her hand on the handle, Mia pushed it open abruptly before jumping out of the car and running inside the confines of their home. Kai protested leaving everything within the car to follow her into the mansion quickly.
"Mia wait." The man called as he followed her through the door, the girl ignored him and pressed on as she approached the staircase towards the safety of her room. Baekhyun sat on the couch watching silently from afar as the two began to argue, not quite noticing his presence just yet.
"How could you? I can't, I don't know him, I don't trust him, and being away, hidden from you when you're fighting for your life? Kai are you kidding me?" The woman cried out feeling her voice begin to pick up as Chanyeol emerged into the hallway from upstairs to watch the unfolding scene.
"Mia you think I want this? I trust that man as far as I can throw him but he could keep you safe, and with everything going on...I don't want to lose you!" The man screamed out in response. Mia took in his words, remembering Kris and all that he said when she first met him. She wanted to understand Kai's side but the concept felt so foreign, Kai has been asking her to remain beside him for the past week and now he's shipping her away like a child living on a warfront.
"I'm safest with you! You told me to trust you and to stay by your side And now you want me gone? Being without you all would be terrifying right now, you're the only thing I have Jongin!" She screamed back her eyes glowing with fury. He looked to her as he unpacked her truth filled words and for a brief moment he looked hurt. Mia paused her gaze falling to the floor, unable to look at the hurt man and let out a soft breath before continuing.
"And let alone me getting hurt, what if something happened to you, or Lay? I have nothing Kai and I can't lose you all when I finally have a reason to be alive again!" The woman responded her breath becoming erratic and her mind spinning, Baekhyun slowly stood up from his spot and joined the two. Kai shot him a warning glare to back off but the older man responded with an equally ferocious gaze. The jokester cut through the silence, verbally separating the fighting pair.
"Mia walk with me." The man spoke simply, the girl truly didn't want to but, she needed solace and she couldn't bare to look at Kai right now. She nodded and began to follow the nimble man as Kai protested silently before Chanyeol made his way down the stairs to collect his younger. The pair silently parted ways to be consoled by their older companions. Mia followed Baekhyun silently as they made their way outside to the garden that domaines in their back yard. The black haired man stopped at a stone bench and sat down silently before patting the spot beside him. The girl silently obeyed and joined the kind mans side in wordless agreement.
"I know exactly what's going on, so simply I won't play innocent but, tell me what's going on in your troubled mind Mia." The man announced softly as the two stared onwards at a rose bush before them. Mia examined the flowers silently as she figured out where to begin. A sigh left her lips as she thought about the prospect of leaving.
"From the start, I've been told to trust you guys. I had nothing, I was nothing but I did, I trusted you when I really shouldn't have. And now Kai wants me to go hide with Kris, and I don't think I could do that." The girl choked back a sob as she looked to the sky in defeat. She wanted to protest but really she knew it was futile and that she should go into hiding for a bit. Mia would only slow the group down if there was any sort of combat. Words overcame her as she spilt her guts to the man who sat intently beside her.
