Mia smiled one last time to Kris, causing the man to smile back offering her a slight nod. The girl turned away from him, hopping out of the window onto the rusted and old fire escape.
The sound of cars rushing down the streets and soft hums of voices from the front of the club echoed through her ears. Slowly Mia began to descend the metal stairs trying not to draw too much attention to herself. About half way to the base of the stairs, several loud and ragged voices ripped through her ears. Immediately she recognized them as some guards from the club. Nervously Mia looked back to the window for Kris, but found the window closed and curtains fully drawn back.
The girl scowled and cursed under red breath, but continued down the fire escaped until she reached the pavement. Mia was on her own now, Kris couldn't help her nether could Xiumin or Sehun with out the ear piece.
Letting out a shaky breath Mia pulled up her hood and reached into her jacket checking for her guns. But only one was still secured to her hip, The girl scowled realizing she left one in Kris' office on this large desk.
The careless voices began to pick up and increase in volume. As the sound of heavy foot steps rounded the corner revealing three guards. All walking with heavy steps and intimidation on their faces. They stood clad in suits all holding loaded guns, they noticed Mia immediately offering her a glare.
One man with a wrinkly face stepped forward raising his gun and pointing the pistol straight at her. Mia paled and froze in her tracks nervously she looked to the man who held the gun at her.
"You did a number on my comrades ". The man yelled roughly clicking back the safety to his pistol, Mia didn't know how to get out of this. Dodging the bullets was her only option, well maybe bargaining but that never worked out in the movies. The girl said nothing and examined the men, she pondered silently to herself. Was this really about to happen? Kris was in charge of these men, were they really about to kill her? Fear set in slowly, her mind screamed run but her body wouldn't move in the slightest.
Mia felt her legs quivering and throat clench, the man growled and took a few steps forward closing some of the space between them. The pair stood about two meters apart, the barrel of a gun still aimed straight at her.
"You gonna say anything little bitch"? The man snarled venom lacing in his rough sandpaper like voice. Mia shrugged and pushed her hair off her shoulder offering a distasteful look to the man.
"Your friends barely put up a fight". She stated drily feeling the bruises on her face throb. As if the were replying to her blatant lie. The man clenched his teeth to her bold statement and almost as quick as the words left her soft lips. He pulled back the trigger and let the bullet fly forward to the girls chest.
Mia with out hesitation took in a sharp intake of breath and dove to the side in a attempt to dodge the small bullet. The small metal piece whizzed through the air quickly and found its mark deep in the girls shoulder. Piercing through her flesh, flying clean out the other side.
Mia screamed as she fell onto her side roughly about the opposite as graceful. Pain erupted through her shoulder and spread through her body like a fire, and began pulsing like a heart beat. The girl instantly brought her opposite hand up to clutch the wound tightly in a pitiful attempt to stop the bleeding. Mia clenched her teeth together and pried her eyes shut trying to block out the pain. The sound of chuckling and loud but slow foot steps resonated through her ringing ears.
The foot steps stopped in front of her but Mia wasn't worried about whoever it was. She was worried about bleeding out. The man who loomed above her grew impatient and suddenly kicked into her rib cage at full force. Earning a breathless wince from the girl. Angrily Mia pried open her eyes and looked up to her assailant meeting the victorious black eyes of the man who shot her.
