Kai awoke to soft beams of morning sun; kissing his tired lids gently. He opened his eyes slowly a stretch pulling through his body as he looked to the right and found Mia sleeping soundly beside him. For the first time in many nights he found her sleeping peacefully to his right, no nightmares plagued her weary mind and that ultimately gave him comfort. He smiled at the serenity of their shared morning however, the bitter reality picked at him. Deep down knowing that soon she would be gone. quickly he bit back those thoughts and simply enjoyed his little moment of bliss with his found angel. That was until his phone that sat on his nightstand began to ring incessantly. Quickly Kai checked the screen noting that it was Suho, as swiftly he reached to answer the phone knowing that it could be important and answered with a quiet hello.
"Good morning to you as well." Suho answered tiredly, Kai rolled his eyes in response as he glanced over to Mia once again as he began to play silently with her long dark locks as a way to distract himself.
" Whats going on?" Was his simple response as he hoped his elder would simply continue, in war they had no time for such formalities. Suho sighed into the line as he had hoped Kai would be in a better mood as he was about to convey negative news to his younger. Kai sensed his negative mood and instantly began preparing himself for whatever his leader had to say. He licked his bottom lip to moisten it in anticipation, his heartbeat rose slightly as he waited.
"I spoke to Taeyeon, although she agreed to our alliance. She thinks its best for our shared defenses for Mia to stay with Kris." Suho spoke calmly into the line as he waited for Kai's bitter response. The blonde man felt himself frown at this news but couldn't say he was totally surprised, he saw this coming. The man however knew, that despite everything Mia was okay with trusting Kris.
" I see, however I already spoke with Mia. Shes not happy about leaving but knows that its for the best." Kai replied plainly into the line, Suho seemed slightly surprised at his friends words. He collected himself from his shock quickly and began to form a response.
" I didn't expect it to be that easy." Suho spoke with a slight chuckle, Kai rolled his eyes as he recalled their screaming match from the last night vividly in his mind.Easy was indeed an understatement, the leader however meant he didn't expect her to agree so quickly. Suho sensed the blonde mans discomfort and continued on with his questioning.
"How did that happen?" He asked softly, attempting to smooth the tense atmosphere. Kai mewled over his words as he tried to consider what to say.
"Baekhyun helped out actually." Kai answered smoothly
"That's surprising." Suho responded and Kai could almost feel his sly smile through the line.
"Yeah I know, So how much time will we have together?" Kai asked, jumping straight to the point. This thought had been pulling at his mind for the last day. He would savor every moment that he could until Mia would be pulled from him.
" Truthfully Kai, I'm not sure. This week will determine how everything plays out."

Mia woke up a few minutes after Kai's call with Suho and found the man sitting silently staring out into space. She blinked away her sleep and turned to fully face the man who was glowing in the rising sun. The brunette felt her brows pull in confusion as she slowly felt all effects of sleep fading from her bones.
"Monster you look troubled." Mia spoke softly, The man hadn't noticed she woke up he was too caught up in his own mind. Kai looked down to her, he wanted to smile but found it hard to do so. Instantly Mia noted this and silently sat upright ignoring her nakedness to worry for her troubled lover.
"Whats wrong?" She began as a million thoughts raced through her mind, almost all of them negative " Is Lay -?" She began, but Kai swiftly pushed those thoughts away with a cautious wave of his hand.
