Chapter 8

SAM'S P.O.V

There was a tense atmosphere as soon as Cait said those words. I stopped squealing when I noticed this. The other girls didn't seem to notice and continued to squeal. I raised my brow at the boys; they were smiling but it seemed forced.

If you actually take a closer look, every guy had a look in their eyes; Louis' seemed tensed, Harry seemed nervous, Liam seemed worried and Niall seemed dejected and hurt. I wasn't so sure about my observations though.

"Soo.." Louis trailed off. Danny and Cait stopped squealing and looked at Louis.

Liam looked at Louis then at us and sighed, "Danny has a .. boyfriend"

It wasn't a question but a statement. Danny looked confused but nodded her head in confirmation, "Yeah, I do. His name is Jake"

I narrowed my eyes suspiciously when Harry flickered his eyes at Niall. Speaking of Niall, he's awfully quiet today.

"Uhh .. Do you girls have any..?" Harry asked and pointed at Cait and I.

Cait and I looked at each other before looking back at Harry. "No. We don't." Cait replied. For a moment, Harry and Liam seemed relieved.

Weird.

I looked at Niall and saw that he was still quiet. I opened my mouth to ask him but I quickly closed it. Maybe I shouldn't ask, after all, it's not one of my business right?. I shouldn't stick my nose into other peoples lives.

Not literally though!

"Niall?" Danny asked. Niall flinched a bit and looked at Danny. Danny had a look of concern on her face. She stood up and went to Niall's side.

"Are you alright?"

Niall hesitated for a moment before smiling at Danny, "I'm fine! Nothing's wrong!"

Danny narrowed her eyes and raised her brow. I knew that look anywhere; it's the kind of look she gives when she doesn't believe in what other people say. Right now, she doesn't believe in Niall. Danny sighed and smiled, "Okay, if you say so."

"So, what should we do?" I asked. Everyone had this kind of thinking faces on. Except for Harry, he had a thinking pose. I inwardly snorted then laughed. He looks weird doing that. I wish I could picture it without getting caught.

Wait, no. Just no. That sounded so stalker-ish.

"Truth or Dare?" Cait suggested. Everyone -but me- nodded their heads at each other so enthusiastically. They looked at me and I just shrugged my shoulders, "I got nothing better to do. So why not?"

We all sat on the ground and formed a circle.

"Okay, I go first. Harry, Truth or Dare?" Danny exclaimed, looking at Harry with an evil glint in her eyes. I narrowed my eyes at her. What is she planning?

"Dare me" He said confidently while smirking. Danny snorted then gave her own smirk as well, "I dare you to...."

Everyone leaned in a bit in anticipation. We all want to know what Danny has in her evil mind for Harry. The said guy just raised his brow when Danny trailed off.

"No backing down alright?" Danny teased. I groaned, just tell us already!

"Yeah, yeah"

Danny's smirk widened, "I want you to remove your shirt and run around this floor screaming, 'I, Harry Styles, hate cats!' "

Everyone laughed at the look of terror on Harry's face as soon as Danny finished stating her dare for Harry. Cait scooted to his stiff self and patted his stiff back, "Don't worry, Harry, it's just a dare anyway"
