That last day.

That last day I ever got to kiss him. That last day we embraced each other, that was the last day we'd exchange I love you's.

That was the last day Ashton Fletcher Irwin the love of my life, beloved family member, and idol... opened his eyes.

The last day he took a breath.

I can still feel his hand slowly loosing it's grip on my own when he was no longer on life support.

"'Hey There Delilah, don't you worry about the distance,' was the last thing he said to me before he died," at that point I couldn't take it anymore, I broke down crying.

Calum came to my side as he soothingly rubbed my hand. I nodded at him signaling I can still talk. He backed away a few feet behind me with his head looking at the ground, jaw clenched and tears falling down his face.

I looked at Michael, he was crying with his hands covering his face.

Then I looked at Luke, he was standing up with his head against the wall and hands were balled up in a fist.

Lastly, I looked at his mother and siblings. They were huddled together crying, sobbing for the loss of their brother and son.

"Before he passed," I gulped, "before he passed, he asked me to tell everyone here, including his fans, that he loves you all. And what I want to tell everyone, is that no matter where he is, his drums are beating in perfect harmony, just like his heart. Ashton will be missed."

I was engulfed in a hug with Luke, Calum and Michael. All of us were sobbing.
