Chapter 11: Nests and Investigations

Wayne Manor, Dining Room.
July 5, 10:00am EST
(Jason's POV)
After the events of last night we made our back home where for once Bruce didn't immediately jump into full investigative Bat mode, instead we made our way up stairs and to our rooms with Barry, Oliver taking two of the guest rooms and Roy and Wally bunking with myself and Dick respectively. When daylight broke Bruce and Alfred had decided not to send us out as they and Barry and Oliver went down to the BatCave to figure out who the Light were after, that left the rest of us where we are now, eating breakfast that Alfred had made before leaving with Bruce,
"So what are we going to do all day?" Wally asks
"Not sure, I'm probably just gonna head to the Library" I answer
"Can I come with you?" Dick asks
"sure can, little brother" I answer with a toothy grin
"you going to that place aren't you?" Roy questions
"yeah, after something like last night, it's kind of a calming place" I answer
"what place?" Wally asks
"that's right you weren't here, well Roy, Dick and I made a kind of hidden area in the Library so that Dickie and I could relax after stressful things" I answer
"it's come in handy a few times now" Dick states
"so you guys effectively made a Robins nest?" Wally questions
"No we did not make a Robins nest" I state
"to be honest it does sound like a Robins nest" Roy remarks
"shut up" I say
"Jay can we go there now?" Dick ask
"if your finished we can" I answer as he pushes his plate forwards
"I'm done" he says
"then come on, we can prove to them that it isn't a Robin's nest" I say as we all get up to leave for the library, I would make Harper and West eat their words.

Wayne Manor Library, 'Robins Nest'.
(Dick's POV)
After leaving the Dining room we made our way up stairs and towards the library before Jason lead the way to the hidden area that we had, which was a bunch of pillows in a small pile in the a small closet space that was never used, there were two portable gaming consoles and a small stack of books next to the pillows as well,
"so, you say this isn't a Robins nest?" Wally questions
"it's not a Robins nest" Jason states
" dude it's totally a Robins nest" Roy says
" it's not" Jason says
"to be honest, now that I look closer at it, it kind of is a Robins nest" I say
"Dick, you're suppose to be on my side" Jason states with a look of betrayal on his face
"I'm on no ones side, I'm just telling you what I see and what I see is what looks like a nest" I explain
"well I'm out numbered now aren't I" Jason says
"sorry Jay" I say
"nah it's fine, it does kinda look like one I guess" Jason says before walking into the hidden space and sitting on a pillow before I follow and sit beside him
"are you sure we can all fit?" Wally asks
"shut up West and get in there" Roy says as they both follow our lead and sit on some of the pillows as Jason picks up a book and I look over his shoulder and Roy and Wally pick up the portable gaming consoles and turn them on, I guess today was going to be a do nothing kind of day.

(Bruce's POV)
The kids were busy for now and that gave us the opportunity to get down to figuring out who the Light are after, I had my suspicions but I couldn't be sure and I hoped to god I was wrong but I had to make sure,
"so what do we look at first?" Barry asks
"I'm currently going through all GCPD security camera footage from last night, Hugo Strange didn't put many around the facility but there were cameras in important places" I explain
"important places?" Oliver questions
"Ace Chemicals, the Court House, the Museum and the Abandoned Subway Station to name a few" I explain
"so places that the Gotham Rogues were at" Barry states
"yes, and since I'm going through this I need you two to go through GCPD files and footage from locations around the city" I state
"what are we looking for?" Oliver asks
"anything out of place, anything to do with the court of owls and anything to do with the Lights activities" I answer
"that should be easy enough" Oliver says
"in our line of work, I find that things like this never turn out to be easy Master Oliver" Alfred says walking up to me
"that is true" Oliver says
"Master Bruce everything the GCPD have has been sent to you now, the commissioner confirmed it just now" Alfred states
"Thank you Alfred" I say "can you make sure the boys aren't getting into trouble?" I ask
"of cause Master Bruce" Alfred says before walking towards the elevator the leads up to the manor.

Robins Nest.
(Jason's POV)
As I was reading my book I could feel Dickie fall asleep on shoulder and so I moved to make sure he was more comfortable before I continued reading, Roy and Wally had finished playing and were now leaning on each other both asleep as well. As I was nearing the end of my book I could see Alfred out of the corner of my eye and looked up at him,
"what's up Alfie?" I ask
"nothing at all Master Jason, Master Bruce has asked me to keep an eye on all of you" Alfred answers
"he wants to make sure we don't make a mess of things doesn't he?" I question
"yes Master Jason" Alfred answers
"I can't blame him with Wally and Dickie together" I state
"yes, Master Bruce wasn't happy about the last time they were left unattended" Alfred states
"well we all learned from that" I say "anyway what are Bruce and the others doing?" I ask
"they are going through GCPD footage for clues on who the Light is after" Alfred answers as I glance over at Dick
"you don't think..." I start
"I can't say for certain but we know the dealings that Haley's Circus had and we can't rule it out" Alfred answers my unasked question
"I hope it isn't that" I say
"I hope so as well but all we can do is wait and see" Alfred says before we fall into a comfortable silence as the others slept, I hope this didn't involve him but who else could it be.
