Chapter 6: Attack On Arkham

Ace Chemicals, Arkham City.
July 4, 10:35pm EST.
(Red Hood's POV)
We waited at Ace Chemicals until at least Flash and Kid Flash arrived at our location, Jokers hideouts were never the best of places with his sense of humor. Flash and Kid Flash had arrived not to long ago and we began to make our way into the open lot in front the building, walking down a back delivery driveway to the back of the building Batman had gotten a call from Green Arrow and Red Arrow and had informed us that they would be coming soon as well. The facility had Joker graffiti tagged all along the walls and the smell of death was very pungent but this being the Joker and knowing from first hand experience what he considers fun this wasn't very surprising to me, As we approached the entryway to the loading bays of the factory the sound of zip-lines filled the air and as we turned around we could see Red Arrow and Green Arrow as well as Catwoman approach us,
"what is she doing here?" Batman questions instantly
"Blame Two - Face for this" Green Arrow states
"he made you bring her?" I question
"pretty much" Red Arrow says
"she's helping so Two - Face won't cause trouble isn't she?" Robin questions
"Unfortunately" Green Arrow says
"You know that I am right here, right?" Catwoman questions
"We know, we just don't care" I state as we all turn to make out way to the main doors of the Loading bay to enter the building, but as we approach the door the ground in front of us opens up in to a circle shape and it reveals strange mechanical components.

The Mechanical Components almost look like some type of locking mechanism but to what wasn't clear, there were red and green lights flashing and a panel that had the words 'Engaged' flashing in white on it,
"This is unexpected" I say
"do you think that deal is going down now?" Kid Flash questions
"That is a very high possibility" Batman answers
"If it is the deal then what do we do now?" Flash asks
"We find out where it's going down" Batman answers
"So we're still going in to confront Joker?" Catwoman questions
"It may be our only way at stopping this deal and returning the inmates back here" Batman explains as we make our way around the new opening in the ground and head towards the loading bay door which with a quick glance had a broken lock on it which meant we could easily enter the building, Batman takes the first step as he pushes the door open and one by one we enter Ace Chemicals.

Wonder Tower, Arkham City.
July 4, 10:40pm EST.
(3rd Person POV)
The ship was now over Gotham City and approaching the Arkham facility at a slow speed, nine long metal extensions lowered from the ship which now looked similar to the Hall of Doom. The ship was more or less going unnoticed as it flew over Gotham and began to hover over Arkham City, the metal extensions matching up to certain points of the facility, including one at Ace Chemicals. The humming of the ships engines began to draw attention to it as it hovered over the city, the chaos dying down and panic starting to set it self in, in its place. Hugo Strange looked out over Arkham City as the ships metal extensions lowered into and locked into place across Arkham, now the deal had begun,
"Time for our deal to begin" Hugo Strange states as he looks at a screen with windows showing blacked out figures of people on it
"Indeed" a man says
"The Light thanks you for your efforts" a woman states
"Joker seems to think that the Legion of Doom will be reconstructed" Hugo Strange says
"let him, his usefulness has passed, our new target is soon to be well within reach" another man says
"he seems to have overheard a conversation at some point in time that pointed to this development" Hugo Strange explains
"interesting, we will have to investigate the matter, but in the meantime make sure that the deal does not fail, the Lights future plans depend on it" the woman states before the screens disconnect and Hugo Strange is left to make sure everything works out as planned.

Arkham City Fly Over Bridge, Midtown Gotham.
July 4, 10:50pm EST.
A group of mysterious people stood on the top of a building next to a fly over bridge that bypassed the entry bridge to Arkham City, they looked over at the facility as the ship hovered over the area, its metal extensions spread across the facility with a tentacle type look to them from a distance. On buildings close by there were more groups and their silhouettes could be seen in the night as they readied themselves for the order to move towards their target,
"The time has come" one figure says
"indeed and what has been stolen from us will be returned" another figure states
"they intend to lift the facility into the air, to not be interrupted" the first figure says
"that will not be an issue, we will be inside the facility before it is lifted" the second figure states
"The court will have its revenge and soon its Gray Son" the first figure states as it raises it hand into the air and flicks a finger into the direction of Arkham City, signalling the others to move out and towards the facility.

Ace Chemicals, Arkham City.
July 4, 11:00pm EST.
(Robin's POV)
We were slowly making our way through Ace Chemicals, the decaying walls and the dripping chemicals leaking from pipes on the walls making the place more creepy then it already was since it was abandoned. As we made our way through another Joker graffiti filled hallway the ground beneath us began to shake and we all lost balance as the walls cracked and dust fell from the roof,
"what just happened?" Red Hood questions as we slowly get our selves off the ground
"was that an earthquake?" I ask
"Gotham has never had an earthquake" Batman states
"then what was it?" Flash asks
"lets find out" Batman says as we turn around and retrace our steps to the loading bay door, making our way through the hallways we can see that the closer we get the more structural integrity has clearly been lost.

As we enter the loading bay we can see that the walls have fallen apart in places, revealing the outside of the building and the big metal thing that was obviously sticking out of the ground. When we got to the door and finally got outside we could see the metal thing sticking out of the hole that had opened up before we entered the building,
"what is that?" I question
"what ever it is, it's attached to some kind of ship" Red Hood answers
"that's not just any ship, that's the Hall of Doom" Batman says as we all look up
"but how is it here? I thought the Metropolis Authorities and S.T.A.R Labs dismantlement it" Flash questions
"Are we actually 100% sure that it was dismantled though?" Wally asks
"Lex Luthor did escape as well" I add
"how ever it happened doesn't matter at the moment" Batman says
"Good point, we need to figure what it's here for" Roy states
"then lets get to it" Catwoman says as the ground shakes again and the skyline of Gotham begins lower and as we look up again we can see the Hall of Doom come closer to us, and it was obvious what was happening, Arkham City was being taken from its foundations.
