Chapter 13: To Make Amends

(Red Hood's POV)
During lunch yesterday Bruce had steered clear of telling Dick about who the Light were after which was a good and a bad thing but for the time being I had to agree with his decision, worry Dickie wouldn't be good and he would either want to help stop the Light or be in fear of when they would strike. Instead of the conversation leading down that path Dick lead it down another with the idea of trying to talk to the team at Mount Justice again to at least try to make some kind of amends with the team, that conversation is why we are all now in the BatCave this morning, as we weren't about to let Dick do this all on his own.

We stood in front of the Zeta Tubes as Batman typed in the coordinates of Mount Justice as well as talked over something with Flash and Green Arrow, as I glanced over at Robin I could see him biting his lower lips,
"Dickie, what's wrong?" I ask getting the attention of Wally and Roy
"Dick?" Wally asks
"are you ok?" Roy asks
"I...I'm fine" Dick answers
"that's bullshit and you know it Dick" I state as Dick looks down
"what's wrong?" Roy asks
"I guess I'm just nervous about this, it's been awhile and I don't know what they'll say" Dick answers
"that's why we're coming as well little brother" I say
"none of us will let them hurt you Dick" Wally says
"remember Dick, you don't owe them anything, they nearly got you killed by jumping head first into things, you wouldn't have gotten left behind and taken by Luthor if they had listened, and you wouldn't have been tortured by Joker either" Roy says as Oliver and Barry walk up to us
"Roy's right Dick, don't let them get to you" Barry says
"I know, it's just stupid nerves" Dick says
Zeta Tube Destination Set: Mount Justice
The computer announces as Bruce walks up to us with that typical emotionless expression that came with the Batman outfit.

Bruce stood in front of us as the Zeta Tube fired up behind him, what ever Bruce had to say had to be important to keep us here,
"Superman, Wonder Woman, Black Canary and Martian Manhunter will meet us at Mount Justice" Bruce states
"why are they coming?" I ask
"they wanted to make sure nothing happens and so are acting as peace makers in the case that something happens" Bruce explains
"Peace makers? please they're there for the same reason you, Barry and Oliver are" Roy says
"I'm only repeating what I was told but I know you're right" Bruce says before turning to look at Dick " Dick I know you told us yesterday but I want you to be one hundred percent sure that you want to do this" Bruce says
"I'm not one hundred percent sure more like eighty percent sure" Dick says " but I want to do this no matter what" Dick adds on
"I know, I just wanted to make sure" Bruce says
"so are doing this?" I ask
"let's get this over with" Roy says
"you say that like this is one of those chores you hate doing" Dick says
"the only chore I hate is clean the cave" I say before we walk through the Zeta Tube,

RECOGNISED...

Kid Flash B - 0 - 3
Red Arrow B - 0 - 6
Green Arrow 0 - 8
The computer announced as we walked out of the Zeta Tube and into the mission briefing room of Mount Justice, looking around revealed nothing but a confused Superman and Wonder Woman looking over the holographic computer,
"what has happened?" Batman asks moving forwards
"after we told the team, they left but there have been no logs in the computer of anyone leaving the mountain from any of the exits" Superman explains
"do they hate me that much?" I ask
"we will figure this out Robin, Black Canary and Martian Manhunter as looking for them as we speak" Wonder Woman says
"this team is really pissing me off" Red Hood says
"same here" Speedy says
"maybe I should just make a new team" I say which earns me looks from everyone
"a new team?" KF questions
"where's this coming from?" Superman asks
"well I mean if the team wants nothing to do with me, then why not just find people that will work with and won't judge me" I explain, I mean Titans sounds like a call name right?
"I hope that includes us Robin" Speedy says
"you know it does Roy" I state
"you got a name for this team little brother?" Hood asks
"well since this was more of a on the spot thing, I was thinking 'Titans'" I answer
"nice name" KF says before we fall into a comfortable silence as we waited for the others to be found.

After what felt like hours, which in reality it probably was Black Canary and Martian Manhunter walked into the room with the rest of the team in toe and as I looked at each of them I could just tell this was going to not end well,
"why did you leave?" Superman asks
"we didn't want to do this" Artemis answers
"speak for yourself, I for one fell ashamed about what I said and would like to make amends" Kaldur says
"are you serious, he's a kid" Conner says
"maybe you need reminding that you are as well" M'gann says
"I thought you agreed with us?" Artemis questions
"I did to a point but after thinking things through I've come to realise that even though Robin is impulsive and can be annoying at times, that's what makes Robin, Robin" M'gann explains
"I agree with M'gann, if Robin wasn't how he is then he wouldn't be the same person I became friends with all that time ago" Kaldur says
"This has gotten off to a good start but we need to fix this situation with all of you not just two of you" Batman says
"yes, we thank both of you for your honesty but for this to work Artemis and Superboy need to be on the same page as well" Wonder Woman says but I knew that might take some doing since Artemis out right said she didn't like me and Superboy doesn't agree to things easily,  and he was the one who said he didn't trust me so that made it even harder, but I guess we would have to see what happened, what ever happened I still have Wally, Roy and Jason.
