-Chapter 6-
I have trouble sleeping last night deciding on what to do to forget Jerremy and to continue my life. Finally, I already made up my mind and sticked to one decission. But I still have to consult Mom about my decission. I’m sure she’ll support me on this, it’s for my best and she’ll agree on that.
I head down to the living room and saw Mom sitting on the white couch starring blankly on the TV. I can say that she’s so sad, it is plastered all over her face. Somehow, I felt guilty.
“Go... Good Morning, Mom!” , I greeted in low tone walking towards her. Mom jumped off the couch when she heard me. She turned her head to my direction and her face is now filled with smile.
“Good Morning, Sweetheart!” , she greeted back grabbing my hand and let me sit beside her.
There was moment of silence between us. I don’t know where to start, but I should let her know about my decission. I looked at Mom, she’s waiting for me to talk.
I sighed and breath deeply.
“Mom!” , I started, “I’m sorry for behaving like this. I –”.
“It’s okay sweetheart!” , Mom cut me off, “I understand you. I know Jerry’s death is a trauma to you.” , she continued, holding my hands and carressing them with her thumb. I nodded, thinking of where to begin my words.
“Ma, talked to me yesterday and she’s right. I have to continue my life and forget about Jerremy... So...” , I paused and sighed.
Mom looked at me as her brows both raised up.
“So, I’ve decided to take a long vacation on a place that wont remind me of him!” , I continued and starred at Mom waiting for her reaction.
“Well, that’s good. Where do you plan to have your vacation?” , she replied.
“I have no idea on where to go right now, Mom. But, I want to stay with Grand Ma at Cassel’s town.” , I answered.
“But Sweetheart, No one knows you there and –”.
“That’s the point there, Mom!” , I retorted even before Mom could finish talking, her eyes widen at my reaction then I sighed, “No one knew about me and Jerremy there. I can easily forget about him.” , I reasoned out now in a calm tone.
“Okay, If it’s a way for you to forget!” , Mom finally agreed, sounding defeated.
“Thanks, Mom! , and I’m planning to leave tomorrow!” , I slowly informed her. Her brows both met leaving no space between them.
“But, how ‘bout your school?” , she asked and still manage to stay calm.
“I know you’d ask about that, So I’m planning to dropped all my subjects this year and continue school at Cassel’s next year!” , Mom just looked at me in disbelieve.
After about a minute or two, Mom shooked his head slowly as her eyes was filled of tears. She cupped her hands on my cheek and tried to pervade a smile.
“Are you sure ‘bout this, sweetheart?” , she asked in low tone. I just nodded as she stared at me.
“Okay! , C’mon I’ll help you pack your things up, then I’ll inform your Grand Ma later!” , she said trying to sound more delighted.
