Chapter 15
Henry William Smith
(Principal, Cassels High School)
I keep on reading the Principal's name printed on a wooden craft that is placed on the edge of his office table.
I look over to Troy as he sitted beside me and across Evo. Mr. Smith frequently throw them glances waiting for them to explain.
My heart is pounding inside my chest and I started to have cold sweats. It's my first time to be called into the principal's office. I don't really do trouble and it's the least I'm good at.
The room fell into silence since the last ten minutes. Niether Troy nor Evo tried to explain.
"I'm waiting for the explanation.", Mr. Smith said breaking thr silence, "What happened in the cafeteria?", this is the hundredth time he asked this but only earned silence from both Troy and Evo.
Mr. Smith seems to be calming him self as I saw him taking deep breaths.
"He started it.", Evo stated sternly as he breaks the silence, his eyes still glued on the file of books beside him.
"YOU. Started it-", Now it's Troy's time to speak. And they started pinpointing at each other. Mr. Smith looks furious at what they are doing but they didn't stop.
They started to stood up and like going on to pick another fight. But this time they seem to not let that happened but the tense in growing by just merely the death glare they exchange to each other.
"ENOUGH!", Mr. Smith commanded trying his best to contain his anger and act on authority, "Enough of this nonsense.", he continued as the two took their sits, "It's very disapointing that this happens on the very first day of the class.", he paused and his eyes landed on mine, "What's your name?".
"Monique, sir.", I swallowed, "Monique Richel Wilson.", I answered in shaky voice trying to sound steady but fail.
"Oh, so you're the transferee from Mc Linden High School?", he asked and earned a nod from me.
"I supposed you can explain why you're involve with this?", he asked calmly now.
I nod, and inhale deeply.
"Evo-", I started as my eyes landed on him looking furiously at the filed book, I swallowed then continued, "He poured an orange juice on my head in the cafe-"
"That's because you punch me back in the classroom.", he almost yelled cutting me off.
"I punched you because, YOU pulled out the chair where I sitted, and I fall down the floor.", I retorted.
"That's my fucking chair!".
"Language, Mr. Volvet.", Mr. Smith warned, and that was enough for him to be quiet, "How's these involved Mr. Thomas, Ms. Wilson?", he continued encouraging me to speak.
