Chapter 14

Wes's POV

The last bell rang at school and I dashed outside to the bus. Normally I wait for Ciara, but today I didn't want to. Man, I'll be hearing about this later.
"Wes! Wait up". I stopped and waited for Charlie.
"You didn't wait for Ciara". "Nah. But I have a feeling I will be in for it later". He laughed and we kept walking.
"Aj's been giving you looks lately. Have you noticed" I asked him. He shrugged.
"He's just a friend. I don't think of him like that. Like he thinks about me".
I've known Charlie for as long as I can remember. His dad is part of our family. And I know when my best friend wants something he thinks he can't have.
"Don't worry about it. Everything will work out".
We walked to the bus in silence. Ciara didn't say anything when she got on the bus. Leah and Makayla sat next to her and soon, giggling ensued.
"It's nice to know people like Leah for who she is" Charlie whispered next to me. Aj got on and sat on the seat next to us.
"Hey guys". I waved and Charlie said nothing. Eventually, the bus left the school and started to drop us off. The ride was silent for the three of us.
My stop came slower than usual. I passed Charlie a piece of paper saying to talk to Aj and got off with my sister.

Aj's POV

I looked over at my crush, who hadn't said a word since I got on. I wanted to say something, but couldn't. When Wes got off, he finally said something.
"Hey Aj" he started. I looked over at his sparkling hazel eyes. "Yeah". He took a deep breath. "What are your feelings towards me".
Be honest. That's what my mom always says. And that's what I have to be here. "Charlie, I... I. I really like you. Like a boyfriend. I had to be honest about it. I can understand if you don't want to be my friend anymore".
He then stopped me by kissing my cheek. My eyes widened and I looked down at my lap.
"I understand. I like you too". His stop showed up and he stood up. "I'll see you tomorrow". He got off the bus and started walking towards his house.
I was baffled by what had happened. He liked me too.

A/N: Hey Cuties!! I'm back! Sorry for the meh chapter and the lack of updates. I've run out of ideas. The first two stories were easy to write; it was just Smosh Games and the kids. Now we're years into the future and there are a ton more characters. I'm sorry if some kids are shown more than others. I am doing my best.
