Eileen's POV

I decided to walk home after school with Elizabeth and Shaylee instead of taking the bus. They are my closest friends. Yes, friends not lackeys.
"It sucks that Bella couldn't walk with us." Shay said. I shrugged.
"I think she's trying too hard to get us to like her." I answered back. Our laughter rang off the buildings around us. What we didn't notice was the white van following close behind us.
Without warning, Liz was pulled back with hands over her mouth, followed by Shay. Of course, I left my pepper spray at home.
A third man pulled me back and threw me into the van. Elizabeth grabbed my hand and squeezed it. I was really scared. I didn't know what would happen to us or if we'd see our families again.

Elizabeth's POV

Our kidnappers had our backpacks up front with them. Meaning our phones were with them. I was extremely scared. I wanted my dads so bad. Shaylee started crying a couple minutes into the ride.
"Shut up!" One of them said. He got up, slapped Shay and went to go sit back down.
"Are you stupid?! We need them to look nice for the boss!" the driver yelled. I squeezed Eileen's hand harder and she squeezed back. Silent tears fell down her cheeks.
Looking over at Shay, she looked at me with a look of terror. Her normally neat brown hair was a mess.
We drove for what felt like days. None of us fell asleep; we were too scared to.

Olivia's POV

Looking at the clock, it was six o'clock and Shaylee had yet to come home. Violet came home at the same time she normally did. I knew Shay was walking home, but it normally didn't take this long.
"Try her cell." Noah suggested as he cleaned up the kitchen. "I did. Twice. She didn't pick up." Vi came down for dinner and we hadn't seen her since she went back upstairs. Half an hour after 6, Ian called me.
"Have you seen Elizabeth? She didn't come home." "No, I haven't. Shay hasn't come home either." "Did you call Kara? Eileen was walking home with them." "No, not yet. I'll do that now. Talk to you later." Kara picked up as soon as I called.
"Thank goodness. Is Eileen with you guys?" She asked, her voice frantic. "No. Shay hasn't come home either. Ian and I are starting to worry." Her next thought scared me.
"Should we go to the police?" I reached for the nearest counter. "I don't want to jump to that conclusion yet. But it might be the only option left." Tears fell down my cheeks and fell on the tile.
"We might have to. It's our only option left. Quentin and I are starting to worry." "I'll call you if anything happens." Kara hung up. I put my phone down and started crying.
"Liv, we'll find her. I promise. Ok?" Noah said, attempting to calm me down.
"I'm just scared. She's too young. I don't want to lose her." Noah pulled me close and I cried onto his shoulder.
"I would check on Violet. Do you want to do that?" I nodded and we let go of each other. I wiped my tears away and walked upstairs to my daughter's room.
"Vi? Can I can come in?" There was a rustling of blankets but no answer. I walked in and saw her on her bed, her baby blanket wrapped around her shoulders.
"Sweetie, are you ok?" "Shay's not coming back, is she?" I rushed over to her and wrapped my arms around her.
"We'll make sure she comes back." "Promise me? She'll come back safe?" I nodded. "I promise."

Anthony's POV

Ian was a wreck that night. He held Bre and Makayla super close like they were going to suddenly disapper like Elizabeth did.
"Dad, is Liz coming back?" Bre asked. "Baby, we don't know anything right now. I can't promise anything. Alright?" She shook her head and ran to her room.
We hadn't heard anything from Kara or Olivia in a couple hours. We were tempted to call the police, but it hadn't been 24 hours.
A couple minutes after 9, Lizzie rushed through the door with Aaron and Bella in tow. I opened my arms and she ran into them.
"Shh. It's ok. I'm here." Out of the four girls we adopted, Lizzie was definitly my favorite. I know that's harsh to say, but it's true. We bonded more than she did with Ian.
Bella ran over to Makayla and they embraced. Makayla started crying on Bella's shoulder. I could hear Bella trying to comfort Makayla.
We were all worried about the safety of Elizabeth. We wanted her home. But we knew it wouldn't come that easily.

Kara's POV

Quentin squeezed my hand as we drove up to my parent's house. Dad had called to ask if everything was ok; it was his monthly routine. I immediatly burst into tears. He then begged us to come up to where he lived to comfort me.
It was late at night when we arrived. Mom saw the car and ran out to meet us. Dad did the same. Mom hugged Quentin while Dad hugged me. I was scared for my only child's safety. I couldn't survive not knowing if she was ok.
"It's going to be ok. I promise." Dad said, trying his best to comfort me. I cried even harder.
"I don't want her hurt. I want her home, safetly in my arms. Daddy, what do I do?" He shook his head, not knowing what to say.
Quentin wrapped an arm around me. I could tell he was trying to hold back his tears.
"We'll find them. All three of them. Even if it takes 20 years. I promise we will." "But I don't want it to be twenty years," I mumbled. "I want it to be now."
