Just Go With It Chapter 9

Raven’s POV

It’d been 1 year, 2 months, 11 days, six hours, twenty minutes and 49 seconds since the last time I’d seen my mate. I’d heard news of the Midnight pack rising from the grave and I knew he’d never come home. I was dating Erick again and he went with me to the Marianas Trench concert using Jayden’s ticket. He wasn’t as bad as I’d made him out to be and he genuinely cared about me. Rebecca found her mate too that night along with most of the other girls. Erick hadn’t found his yet but it could happen any day now. “Hey”, he said walking into the bedroom and sitting down next to me.

“Is there any news?” I asked looking out at the woods.

“I think you should stay inside for awhile”, he said looking out the window and I looked down to see wolves at the opening of the clearing the house was in. I concentrated on the black one and I felt a mind touching mine.

Hey Rave, he thought and I ran downstairs and out the door.

“Rave wait”, Erick said getting in my way.

“What are you doing you’re in my way”, I said annoyed.

“He’s not the same you have to trust me on this”, he said seriously.

“He’s still my mate Erick”, I said trying to sneak past him.

“He’s one of them now Raven he’ll hurt you if he gets the chance”, he said shaking his head.

“Jayden won’t hurt me”, I said confused.

“He’s different now”, he said touching my shoulders, “he’s not him anymore”.

“You can’t keep her away from me Erick”, Jayden said walking over to where we were standing.

“Let me go Erick”, I ordered. He looked into my eyes and saw the rage hidden beneath the surface and got out of my way.

“Hey Rave”, Jayden smiled. I punched him right off his feet and kicked him repeatedly.

“You…stupid…asshole…I…hate…you”, I said kicking him every word. He tried to dodge the hits but I was vicious when I was angry.

“Whoa Rave calm down”, Erick said pulling me away.

“Hand her over”, Jayden growled standing up.

“No”, Erick and I said.

“What are you two dating or something now?” he asked looking from him to me and back again.

“None of your god damn business”, I snapped.

“I said hand her over now”, he said as his friends arrived holding my new family.

"No", Erick said holding onto me protectively.

"You're going to regret not handing her over", Jayden said then suddenly two of the men grabbed him from behind and I fell forward hitting the grass stopping myself with my hands. I turned around to see Jayden beating the crap out of Erick. One of his men tried to grab me and I kicked him in the nuts and went wolf mode. I ripped Jayden away from Erick and stepped back.

Rave don't, he thought seriously.

Get out of this town, I growled.

I'll go when I feel like going, he mocked.

We'll see, I thought then we started circling each other.

Don't you at least want to know why I'm here, he teased.

Not particularly, I replied.

Come on Rave just stop fighting, he complained.

I'm not giving up anything soon so get over yourself, I snapped.

Please Rave, he thought sweetly, come on you know you miss me.

Touch me and die, I thought angrily, I've learned to hate you in the last year. He growled then came in and attacked me. I defended myself and attacked him him every once in awhile.

Stop Rave, he warned as I bit him in the leg, before I have to hurt you.

Bring it on, I thought snapped at him again.

Raven wait, Erick thought and I stopped looking over at him.

What? I asked confused.

He's not worth it, he answered and I stepped back.

Raven, Jayden taunted, come on love you know you belong with me.

I don't belong with anyone, I thought coldly.

You’re pissing me off, he reminded me.

Get out of our territory, I snapped, or else.

Not without you, he replied. My heart sang at his words but I ignored my heart as I’d been doing for over a year.

You aren’t stupid enough to risk war over one girl, I thought seriously.

I can do what I want with whomever I want and there’s no one who can stop me from taking what’s mine, he explained.

I stopped being yours the minute you stepped out of pack territory, I replied.

Erick either you hand her over or I take her by force, Jayden thought casually but I knew he was serious.

You’re not touching her, Erick replied and they started circling each other.

She wears my mark meaning she’s my property, Jayden growled.

I’m not your property, I replied.

Quiet honey I’ll be back to your in a second, he thought smoothly.

Go to hell, I snapped back at him.

No, he thought then he and Erick started fighting. I kept my distance hoping and praying that Erick won and knocked Jayden out or something.

“Hey”, one of Jayden’s pack members said trying to grab me. I growled and he tried to grab me but I knocked him over.

Someone grab her, Jayden ordered and suddenly I was dodging multiple people.

Touch her and I swear to god Jayden, Erick thought angrily.

You’ll do what Erick bore me to death, Jayden thought unimpressed; my pack could kill yours in a second.

You’re the boring one always with the same threats, I mocked.

Quiet pet, he ordered.

Who the hell do you think you are, I thought annoyed.

I said quiet, he thought again then I saw a pup running over to where we were fighting. My pup.
