"We didn't realize we were making memories, we just knew we were having fun."

"Uwah!! Look Green! This wild Eevee started cuddling to me!"

An eight-year old Green turned his head towards his companion who is sitting in the shades of the proud Oak tree. The Eevee was indeed jovially cuddling the girl who is the same age as him. Just seeing her smile brought a faint smile to his face.

"You should still be careful!" Reminded the young brunette, still smiling, however it was not noticed by the young girl for she was busy petting the grateful Eevee's head.

She finally look at him, her orbs held joy and flicker some kind of mischief. She put her tongue out teasingly to let the boy know that she was not going to release the Pokémon for any soon, although Green was not unfazed by it. Why should he be annoyed if he sees her so happy with the Pokémon?

"Come you two! Your lunch is ready!"

They turned both of their heads at the source of the voice. It was her mother, smiling kindly while gesturing for them to come near. Her mother was holding a plate filled with steam delicious berry soup. That woman's cooking was heavenly delicious, and his still young mind wishes that someday the woman's daughter would be the one to cook for him when they grow...

"Okay!" The girl stood up and started walking through the flowery road, however the Eevee block her trail, its eyes seems sad. Squatting over the soft grass, she petted the creature gently. "Why are you sad Eevee? Do you want to come with us?"

The Eevee cried happily, signaling that it wanted to accompany you two.

"But you're a wild Pokémon. Mama said wild Pokémon shouldn't come with us ." She said sadly.

Seeing her sad was no-no in his eyes, plus the Eevee was looking unhappy too. He tried thinking a solution to which her smile would return, then an idea pass by his mind. He immediately broadcast it. "What about we capture it with a pokeball?"

The girl looked at him, processing what he just said, then her eyes brightened with excitement. "You're right!" She gave one last pet to the Eevee then stood besides Green. She nudged Green impatiently, bouncing animatedly like an eight-year old girl, which she actually is. "Come on Green, mama is still waiting for us."

"Okay okay." He said as he picks up a pokeball in his bag. It was given to him by Professor Oak in case he encountered a Pokémon he wanted or he befriended. Lifting the device into the air, he stared at the Eevee for some kind of signal for him to throw the ball. The Pokemon nodded its head and Green immediately throw the ball at it lightly, afraid to hurt it and see the girl's sad expression again.

The ball released some odd light and covered the Pokemon in its light. The light goes back to the Pokeball and it landed on the grass. Green and the girl waited for it to shake three times for it was a hint that a Pokémon was successfully captured.

After its third twitch, it stopped moving. Grinning widely at the success capture, the girl immediately picked up the pokeball and caressed its smooth surface.

"You should release Eevee now." Reminded Green, who stuffed his two hands to his pocket and looked uninterested and calm, though he was bubbling with excitement within.

Throwing the ball into the air, it released Eevee, who she caught with her arms.

"Ee Eevee!" It cried happily, finally knowing that it was now you two's Pokémon, specifically Green's Pokémon, although he didn't mind sharing it with you as you are the one who attracted the Eevee.

"I'm so happy Green! You did it!" You gently put the Eevee on the ground and immediately tackled-hug the boy.

"W-Waahh!"

Thud!

The youthful boy found himself on the ground, being hugged (squashed) by his childhood friend or should we say...first love. Finally grasping what had just happened, his face erupted into fifty shades of red as he awkwardly hugged back. The girl wasn't blushing to say the least. She might be so oblivious or she's just overwhelmed by happiness.

Broking the hug, the girl stand up and assist the boy in standing up. She scratched the back of her head bashfully, though she was grinning. "Ehehehe sorry Green. I'm just happy that you have your own Pokémon!"

Still speechless, he only nodded in response.

"And..." The girl leaned and swiftly pecked Green's cheek."...thank you."

His eyes widened and the cheek where you kissed tingled with delight despite the fact that he didn't know if he can get anymore redder than this. He probably looks like a tomato now!

She giggled at Green's cute reaction, but decided not to tease him with it. "Eevee let's go! I bet mama has some delicious pokefoods!" The girl started marching towards the humble house, the Pokémon happily following.

She swiftly turned around and wave at the young brunette. "...and Green hurry up!"

A smile graced his youthful features as he muttered something precious under his breath, beneath this Oak tree where he would never ever forget. The tree where the two met and became the closest of friends...

"You're welcome (y/n)..."
