Engagement

Rydel insisted in doing another engagement ceremony.In our original engagement ceremony,we were like eight years old and I only remember I had a great time and that I was excited to eat cake.I had no idea of what's happening.

Updated of that situation.I still have no idea what's going on and I only care if the cake will be good and if they can make an extra one for me.Rydel and Rocky are organizing everything.I still don't understand anything that they are planning.

But,there's one thing I do need.An engagement ring.As a tradition,I have to get one from a jeweler from my kingdom but that's kind of impossible since I'm in another one.So,I'm thinking how I'm gonna fix that.

The engagement also means my parents have to be here because the wedding is gonna be in like two weeks.Mom says she will be here first which means Benjamin has been hiding around.It is funny because now that he's Ryland's assistant,he needs to be wherever Ryland is.

'Queen Cheryl is arriving today.' Rocky tells me and Rydel when we were having pictures took.I give him a look and he gives me the Dad reprovable look.

'It's too soon for her to be here.' I exclaim and Rydel gives me a weird look.

'I thought you'd be excited for your Mom to be here.' Rydel says confused.

'I love my mother but she has a tendency to be very bossy and you know...' I explain and Rydel laughs.

'You don't like bossy ladies but you're marrying me?' She jokes and Rocky cracks a smile which for someone so serious,that's like a miracle.

'That's because you're serious gorgeous.' I answer her sweetly holding the naughty joke in my thoughts.I cannot throw those now in front of a whole crew.

Mom arrives almost at dinner time when no one was obviously waiting for her.She gives me a tight hug and analyzes me like I'm a kid who's coming back from the playground.

'Mom,I was not at war.' She smiles at me as she passes her hands in my hair.

'I'm so proud of you son!...' She says and I smile at her.I know she is going with this.

'You do know that me marrying Rydel has nothing to do with me coming home.' I remind her.She signs and I pick her hands.

'Do not fool yourself,Mom.I won't go home now.' I say sweetly and she nods with a smile.

'The things we do for the greater good.' She whispers.I didn't understand why she was whispering but then I see my fiancée arriving.Mom always loved Rydel because Mom came to Abemia lots of times.Why I didn't come with her? I don't know.

The engagement party is tomorrow and I know this is a huge deal for Rydel because she always wanted to have all the wedding traditions.Sincerely? For me,that doesn't make a difference.But I'm always going to do everything I can to make Rydel happy.

'This got here for you.' Ryland says as we hang out in my room.He lends me a box and I open it to see the ring I ordered earlier this week.

'Ohh,this got here fast.' Benjamin comments.

'I told the jeweler If the ring didn't arrive in time,I'd close his shop.' Rocky is very proud of his strategy.I'm very lucky to have him to deal with those stuffs for me.

'But this is the oldest shop in Dandelli.' Benjamin points out confused.

'I'm a Duck,I don't care about the rest.' Rocky sassies.We laugh knowing he'd never do such thing.Rocky is one of the sweetest guys I know.
