~Queen Rydel~

I didn't want to leave the calm of our honeymoon.I felt like I was a wife and all I had to worry about is how Ellington eats like a child.Now,I'm a wife still but I'm also a queen full of responsibilities and sometimes those responsibilities are going to be bigger than my wife's one.

'You're overthinking.' Ellington picks my hand in my lap.I look to him and he smiles at me.

'I'm just thinking how life was easier in the Paris castle.' I explain holding his hand tightly.

'Ohh,dear wifey,life is going to be as easy.' I love his optimism but I know my kingdom and castle.I know something isn't right.Call it queen feeling.

'I hope so.' I lend my head on his shoulder and take a deep breath.Life as official Queen won't ever be the same.

The whole castle is waiting for us.I spot Riker and Savannah next to Ross and Courtney.I spot Katherine,happily as ever,next to Ryland,Benjamin and Rocky.I see my Mom almost jumping around of happiness.Typical Mom,just typical.

What interests me though is the two girls next to Savannah which I haven't seen before.It must be the maids King George said he'd send me as a wedding gift.I look at Ellington and he is pale.

'Honey...' I start but he opens the car's door.He shows me his hand and I get out of the car.Ellington looks at Rocky and mouths something I can't understand.Rocky only nods.

See,I knew it.Problems were waiting for us back home.

Ellington said he needed to solve something and that we'd see each other at dinner.I head to my old room which now will be Courtney's room.I decided as my oldest maid she would have this room.I only have great memories in this room.

My room is now is the biggest suit in the castle.Mother said once in a while I'd love the space I could have away from my husband.In these first weeks of marriage,I wanted nothing but stay closer to him.And now,I'm sure he's hiding a secret from me.

'Rydel,those are Lady Alexa and Lady Savannah...from Dandelli.' Courtney introduces us.I smile at them and they reference me.

'Nice to meet you both...You two knew Ellington in Dandelli?' I ask curious of why those girls made my husband and his friends so pale and nervous.

'We used to serve for Ellington's cousin Ella but now she is no longer living in the castle so our king sent us.' Lady Alexa explains.She is so pretty.Short,blonde,blue eyes.A total princess.

'Vague answer,lady Alexa.' I say and Courtney giggles smiling at me.

'The Lady Savannah happens to know the general Ryland,Queen.' Courtney explains to me.I look at her confused then I look at them.Lady Savannah is blushing.Ohh,I understand.

'I see,lady Savannah.' I hold my urge to laugh.So the general gets around.

'I won't ask you then Lady Savannah to work with me and Ellington.You'd be seeing lots of Ryland...You will serve for the new princess,my sister in law who's also Savannah.' I note the irony but Lady Savannah seems to be very happy to be serving Vanni.

'You whoever Lady Alexa will be serving me until Ross finds his balls somewhere and propose to Courtney.' Now,she doesn't look pretty pleased to be serving me.This girl was involved with either Ellington or Rocky.It better be Rocky.

'You'll have three ladies?' Katherine asks me confused.

'I'm the Queen now.I need more help...and Courtney will be also helping Ellington and Rocky.' Lady Alexa seems relived she won't be helping the boys.

Ohh,Ellington,you better tell.

Later on dinner,everybody was reunited to celebrate our return.It was great seeing so many familiar faces.Lori complained about having to marry Benjamin and I loved how familiar that was.Guess I missed home more than I thought.

'So,where do you know the ladies from?' I ask Ellington whispering.He looks at me quickly before focusing back on the soup.

'Home,Rydel.' He makes it seem like the question was dumb.

'Seriously,Ellington?' I stare at him and he looks at me with that face.

'We can discuss it later ok?' He says and I nod focusing have on my soup as well.

I go up to the room sooner.Riker said he had some urgent subject to attend to with Ellington.Men and their things.This room is indeed bigger than mine.When I decorate it,it seemed smaller.Now with the furniture I chose in,it is definitely lot bigger.

I change and get ready for bed.I had a long day of traveling.I am exhausted and dealing with this whole lady thing just gave me a headache.I have been a bit tired this past week but I feel so energetic.Like I could win a war on my own.

I hear the door open and close.I am tired to hear whatever Ellington has to say so I just keep trying to get asleep.I feel him laying down next to me and cuddling on me.I feel his breath on my neck which makes me feel calmer at the second.

'I'm sorry my father sent Alexa.He made it to provoke me.For breaking the tradition.' He whispers as he rubs my hair.

'What's with that?' I ask with my eyes still closed.I am glad he's opening up to me.We didn't even fight.

'Alexa and I had a little talk...I mean,different kind of talk if you know what I mean.' Oh,honey,I do.I am quite aware of your different kind of talk.

When I don't answer,he continues.I just don't have an answer for that.

'It was an one time thing and right after,she dated Rocky.' That makes me move.I sit down and look at him.

'Your father sent a maid who dated you and Rocky...he knows that Rocky and Lady Katherine are having a thing and yet...' I start confused.

'Honey,my father likes to manipulate situations.Be in control.I guess that's why he never gave up on military career...The thing is I was in control and he wasn't...so he hit me in a way he knew it would hurt.' He explains.King George seems to be a very cold father and a very harsh King.Come on,his son just got married!

'I'll see what I can do to avoid some tension.' I guarantee and he smiles.Yet,I realize he's tense.

'What's wrong?' I ask and he sits down looking serious at me.

'Riker informed me that uh...war has moved closer to Dandelli territory and that Castell now has help from Leminia.' Crap.Our enemies allied.That screws everything up.

'We are going to war,Rydel.' I have never seen him so serious.

'We are at war,honey.' I am confused.

'No,my love...I'm going to war.'
