It's been nearly a month now.My recovery was being low,the doctor says.I mean,I took a bullet and suffered a car accident.People don't normally survive that although I avoid saying that next to Rydel.She is very emotional now that she's pregnant.She has been very protective of me and her brothers.

It's very beautiful to see her pregnant.See her belly grow.She sparkles even more than usual.But,Rydel being pregnant triggered something in her.Something I never thought Rydel would be is insecure.The war is letting her crazy which is leaving me crazy.I am just back on my feet.

My only helper is Rocky.He seems to have an influence on my wife.Politics are intense.Our solution to send Benjamin to Leminia was brilliant.Theres only one problem though.Benjamin,himself.He hated the idea when Rydel said it but now that I'm back on my feet,I'll talk to him myself.

'Honey,are you sure you can do this?' Rydel asks me as I fix my tie on the mirror.I look at her and smile.

'Rydel,I am fine.' I say as I walk to her.She sighs and I put my arms around her waist pushing her closer to me.

'It is just lots of stress.' She basically whispers.

'Well,I'm not the one pregnant.You shouldn't be dealing with this amount of stress.' I say and she looks at me rolling her eyes.If there's one thing this pregnancy definitely hasn't changed is how stubborn Rydel can be.

'I'm pregnant.It is not a disease.' She points out annoyed.

'It's a condition.You should rest.' Every time we get to the topic Rydel works too hard,she backs off.I would love to see her pregnant many times but if this is how she is going to be,maybe it's not good for her.

Benjamin was fashionable late and we were waiting for him for hours.So,Rydel decided to have the argument of the hour,even the maids in the castle talk about it.The threat of war against Castell as well.

'I believe and affirm Castell won't hit Abemia territory.' Ryland says.He is nominated part of the war council.

'With Rydel being married to Ellington,I think Dandelli is pretty possible to be a hit.' Riker adds up.

'If your soldiers hadn't killed the ambassador of Castell,this wouldn't be happening.' I exclaim at Riker.

'Look,Prince consort,my sister...your wife,the Queen asked me to...' Riker starts defending himself.He gets up and so do I.

'She asked you to take them out of the kingdom! Not out off Earth!' I exclaim.I feel a pain in my stomach but I take a deep breath so I won't show anyone.

'We were trying to fix the mess you made by killing the general's daughter!' Riker throws in my face.

'We did not kill the general's daughter.' Ross says trying to calm us down.

'Does the Castell people who love her more than their own heir know that? They want you dead,Ellington! Go east and you're dead!' Riker shouts loudly.Rydel gets up and slaps Rikers face.

'Shut up! You're talking to my husband,Riker! He's the father of our heir.Show some goddamn respect...Besides,he's my husband.Would you like me to wish your wife's death?' Rydel is getting hectic.She looks pale.

'I didn't mean to...' Riker starts but Rydel gives him a look who makes him stop.

'Benjamin will go to Leminia.Try and help...I don't care what you want,Benjamin.I didn't want for my kid to be born in a world with war but that's the reality...I give you no option.You go to South to Leminia or go East to Dandelli.' Rydel looks at Benjamin who looks at me and I only nod.

'Ellington,Dad will make me go to war.' Benjamin begs.Ben going to war with me is different than going alone.

'Then the Princess of Leminia awaits you.' I say walking towards Benjamin.I pick his arm and walk him out of the room while the rest keeps talking about ways to avoid war.

'When will your wife and you stop using me as human bait?' Benjamin asks annoyed.

'Human bait? You kidding me? I'm sending you to flirt with a hot princess! It's not hard.' I sometimes forget how much of a drama queen Benjamin can be.

'You didn't like it when dad said you had to come to Abemia to marry Rydel.' He throws in my face.

'Well,when I got here I met the woman of my dreams and the love of my life...Maybe she is the one for you too,Ben.' I try dealing with my brother but he's tough.

'Ben,our dad isn't popular.If they get inside Dandelli through Leminia...Dad won't survive and I'm not strong enough to go back to Dandelli.My wife is pregnant,dude.You are not just helping me.You are helping all of Dandelli!' I am almost begging him.He looks at me and takes a deep breath.

'You don't have to marry her.You just have to cause a good impression.' I look in my brother's eyes.

'I'm doing this for my nephew.Not for you!' Benjamin exclaims as he walks away.I can't help but smile.

'Could be a niece!' I yell and he laughs.

'We,Ratliffs,are not worthy of having a girl in our lives.It is a boy,mark my words.' Benjamin says.At least,one less problem.

I knew Benjamin would come to therms in the end of the day.I decided I needed a moment.With everything that's happening,I just need to do something people won't yell at me about because I just got out of a surgery.I needed to feel free and maybe I'd find a solution to my father's problem in Dandelli.

So,I did what I used to do when I was a kid.I got a horse and just went for a ride.The air blowing in my face would help to think.I need to send someone to Dandelli who is a local but is the representative of diplomacy.Someone who has ties to Abemia but also to Dandelli.Someone who has my interests close to heart.

Only one name pooped in my head but for that,I needed the Queen's permission.It wasn't easier before,it definitely didn't get easier now.Rydel will understand.

When I get back to the room,I find Rydel alone for once.She is really concentrated in the paper she is reading.We have agreed we wouldn't work on our room but I guess this is the only place she can have peace.

'I thought our room is a free work space.' I say as I lend in and kiss her cheek.

'Oh,honey.I didn't see you coming in...I was writing the letter for the King of Leminia.' She tells as she lends me the paper.I read quickly.Rydel explains how anger Benjamin is to go to Leminia on purpose of finding a new friendship in the name of the Abemia crown.

'You signed my name as well.' I say as I put the paper back in the table.

'I want the others kingdoms to see we are in this together.' She picks my hand and I smile.

'You know what I want to do?' I say as I push her out of the chair.

'Sleep? Because your wife is really tired.' She smiles.Ohh,honey,I have other plans.

'I wanna take a shower with you.' I push her close to me and she smiles.

'It's been a while.' She says.We used to take showers together all the time.

'Come on,we have a lot to catch up on.' She nods happily at my words.

The world might be falling apart around us but we are standing still.Our love is stronger.
