Dark Memories

Ash and Serena are heading towards Alola on a small charter plane given to them by the military to help investigate Professor Oaks theory and possibly the last hope of the world in restoring the light. "What has you so excited Lucario?" Ash asks his aura pokemon who has been caught staring out one of the planes windows. "I've never been in a plane before Master" Lucario replies happily thru their Aura bond " I can look down from here and see all the aura energies below us, makes the world seem happy and full of life again". "It soon will be Lucario" Ash says to his Pokemon as he notices a sad look on Serena's face "Everything ok beautiful?". Serena blushes at his nickname for her, something so simple like that coming from Ash still calms her down "I'm fine, I just wish I could hear what Lucario says sometimes to and not just your half of the conversation" Serena says with a sigh.

Lucario hears what Serena says and decides to tell Ash a secret "Master, there may be a way for you to allow others into our Aura conversations " Lucario says " But you'd be talking thru aura like I do as well and not directly as you do now". "Wow really" Ash says " Serena, Lucario says we may be able to do that". A big smile forms on Serena's face as she comes over and gives Lucario a hug " Thanks Lucario" she says as Lucario nods his head and smiles back to her. "So what do I need to do?" Ash asks his aura Pokemon as it walks towards him and then sits down and places itself in its meditative stance that Ash has seen many times before. "Sit in the pose I taught you Master and no longer speak but instead try to reach out with your mind" Lucario starts as Ash sits down and mimics Lucarios stance.

"Picture yourself in a room with many doors Master and behind each closed door is someone you want to communicate with using your Aura" Lucario lectures "Try opening a door while thinking of me Master, our aura bond should make this easier to start". After a few moments of silence and with Pikachu and Serena staring on curiously Lucario finally hears his Masters voice "Lucario, can you hear me, is it working?". Lucario smiles at his Masters progress, proud that their Aura bond continues to grow " Yes Master, well done, I can hear you". "Lucario this is amazing i feel like im floating" Ash says, clearly excited over this new development. "You're in sync with your own aura Master, that is the power of Aura flowing thru you" "Lucario says "Now try opening up another door and picture Serena this time".

"Serena, can you hear me?" Ash asks his girlfriend with closed eyes and he doesnt notice Serena jump up in surprise at hearing his voice in her head. "Ash?" She thinks back and feels a wave of happiness flow thru her "Congratulations Master, it seems Mistress has linked up with our conversation" Serena hears a new voice say. "Serena, you can hear us?" Serena hears Ash's voice again "Yes I can, it's nice to finally hear your voice Lucario" Serena says. "Likewise mistress, now as long as you keep the doors open master an Aura link between us all will stay maintained "Lucario says as he notices a glare from Pikachu " I believe Pikachu is feeling left out Master i suggest letting him in hear as well". Ash laughs at this as he notices Lucario's scared tone and he concentrates on Pikachu to let him in the conversation as well "Hey little buddy, don't think I'd forget you did you?".

Ash, Serena and Lucario all feel another presence join them as Ash extends this Aura network to Pikachu "Ash?" they all hear a high pitched voice ask "Hey buddy" Ash responds. Pikachu runs up to Ash and jumps onto his shoulder and thinks "Thanks Lucario" as he rubs his cheeks against Ash affectionately "You're welcome Pikachu" Lucario responds. "It is so amazing how close you and Lucario are Ash, you've only been together for 4 months now but you act like you've known each other for years" Serena says. "When I was captured after the darkness fell and trapped in the back of a truck going who knows where "Lucario starts "I sensed a strong aura nearby and cried out to it to help me". "I was on a supply run" Ash takes over " Your medicine from your fall had just run out and I was heading to Lumoise City to see if I could get any more just in case you needed anymore". Serena blushes at this "Thats my Ash, always thinking of others, maybe i should wear that special underwear for him tonight" Serena thinks to herself or so she thinks. "Umm Mistress, the aura connection is still up, we can hear you" Lucario says as he rubs the bsck of his head embarrassed. "Ahh crap, umm sorry everyone" Serena responds embarassed as Ash comes up and gives her a hug " Please continue your story Lucario". While Serena is trying to hide herself into Ash out of embarrassment, Lucario starts again.

How Ash and Lucario Met

"Come on Pikachu and Quilava, I think the voice I heard came from this way" Ash tells his Pokemon as they all run towards the mystery voice in Ash's head. Running as fast as he could through the dark jungle Ash is determined to locate the owner of the cries for help he's been hearing. After breaking out onto an old dirt road Ash sees a broken down truck on the side of the road and 3 guys nearby that are trying to repair it. "Ok guys, I think what I've been sensing is whatever is in that truck" Ash says as he gestures towards the truck "Pikachu can you go give those guys a little good night jolt for me". Pikachu runs ahead and after a small flash of light and 3 thuds on the ground, Ash and Quilava run to meetup with Pikachu. "Thanks buddy, hopefully these guys are actual bad guys huh" Ash says as he looks at the unconscious men on the ground.

Ash gets up onto the truck and starts opening up the back "Hello, anybody in here" he says as he tries to peer inside "Hey Quilava, can you light up the back of this truck for me?". As the flames on Quilavas back illuminate the back of the truck, Ash sees a Lucario sitting defeated in a cage "It's ok Lucario, I'll get you outta there" Ash says while he runs towards the cage.

The Lucario stares up at Ash and as their eyes meet he senses his aura instantly bonding with this person that has just rescued him "This boy is my Aura partner" Lucario thinks amazed "No wonder his aura felt so strong to me". Ash opens the cage and leads the Lucario out of the truck to meetup with Pikachu and Quilava "Hey Lucario you're ok now, I'll make sure those guys don't capture you again" Ash tells the new Pokemon. Ash is shocked when he hears the voice in his head "Thank you human, I've been in that cage for weeks now, I had been sold to a collector somewhere here in Kalos" the Lucario is staring at him as the voice continues "I sensed your aura human and now somehow it has merged with mine".

"Well umm hi there Lucario" Ash says still a little startled "Is there anything we can help you with?. "Your my aura partner human" Lucario tells him through aura "I will now follow you and listen to any of your commands". Ash looks at the Lucario stunned at this new information "You dont need to do that Lucario, I couldnt force you to do that" Ash tells him. "My aura will only ever bond with 1 human and that human will be my partner until we both die" Lucario tells him "Besides in helping me, you've shown what kind of human you are". "I choose to follow you" Lucario says as he looks up at this human "Master".

Back on the Plane

"Aww Lucario, that story sounds so much better when you tell it" Serena says still excited to be experiencing this aura connection for the first time. "Thank you Mistress, I'm glad to see you and Master both smiling again" Lucario tells her as the pilot announces that he is starting the descent into Alola. "Master you should close the connection between the others down for now to conserve energy, the longer its up the more energy you will burn through" Lucario informs as Ash nods his head and closes his eyes as he focuses on his own inner aura.

"Thanks for doing that Ash" Serena says as she gives Ash a kiss "I'm glad that we can communicate with our Pokemon like that now". "Your welcome Serena" Ash says as the plane finally hits the runway and begins to slow down. "Hey Serena" Ash says with a grin as he leans into her ear and whispers " You look really good in the pink ones by the way"...
