"What are you talking about professor, we cant go anywhere, the airports were shut down months ago as soon as all this started" Ash tells the professor. " Not for the military Ash, they are still doing missions and running errands for us researchers and now with us coming up short I've been allowed to organize a task force to research my theory" Oak tells Ash and Serena. "What is your theory exactly Professor" Serena asks curiously. "Theres a legend of two pokemon that hold the balance between light and darkness and if this balance is disrupted all life would perish shortly after" Oak begins to explain. " Solgaleo the pokemon of the sun and Lunala the pokemon of the moon, it is my belief that something has happened to Solgaleo and he is unable to keep the balance with Lunala. With its partner gone Lunala has taken full control and covered the world in this permanent darkness" Oak finishes. "How can 2 pokemon have that much power" Ash exclaims "with that much power they must rival the creator Arceus himself".
"These pokemon have never been seen before, they are more mysterious than the great Mew itself all i have is one mention of them on an ancient tablet and a few possible references to the Alola region just to the south of Kalos" Oak says. " I've organised a small plane for the two of you if you wish to accept this mission, I cant force you to go you two, especially with the obvious dangers of this mission but if anyone can discover if there's any truth to my theory it's you Ash" Oak exclaims proudly. "The plane leaves a week from now at Lumoise Airport, sadly i could only get authorization for the two of you if you accept this mission so you'd be on your own im afraid" Oak finishes as Serena looks at Ash and gives him a nod letting him know she wants to go. " We'll do it Professor, you can count on us" Ash tells the professor but as he does the screen goes black and the few lights around them turn off. "Ash" Serena yells out in shock at the sudden blackout as she desperately feels around for Ash in the dark and once finding him clings to him tightly with her arms. "Its ok Serena" Ash tells her softly as he strokes her hair and lights a candle "I'll never let you go or be alone ever again, I promised you that after you woke up from being hurt, dont you remember?". She responds with a nod as her mind flashes back to those first few days when all this begun 6 months ago....

Smaller chapter, i just wanted to finish off most of the prelude part of the story and show the basics of where this story will lead. Any feedbacks or comments greatly appreciated im just going with the flow atm.
