Just then, 'Just Dance' by Lady Gaga came on and Hazel exclaimed, "Oh my god! I love this song! I rolled my eyes at Hazel's music preferences while Johnny grabbed her hand and led her to the makeshift dance floor. Hazel winked at me as she walked away and I gave her a hesitant thumbs up.

A few seconds after Hazel and Johnny left I realized that I was left alone. I looked around, unsure of what to do or where to go. My bottle was already empty, so I resolved to go get another one.

As I pushed my way through the crowd I accidentally thought of Brian. He was probably being hovered by random beautiful girls or making out with one of them. An irrational sense of anger bubbled up inside me but I quickly pushed it aside. Why was I angry? He was a complete asshole. I shouldn't be even thinking about him.

I walked from room to room, looking for the bar or whatever. Sure, this house was huge, but it shouldn't have been that hard to find the alcohol jackpot.

Somewhere along the way I decided that I was going to stop being so scared and worried about everything and have fun for once. I wanted to party and laugh and forget my troubles for the night.

After accidentally elbowing at least 10 people and getting a hit to the shoulder from a crazy partier, I found the bar. As I approached the crowded bar table, I wondered how rich Johnny's parents had to be in order to have a full out club-looking bar in their home. And what's more, to be able to afford 3 bartenders and the amount of alcohol Johnny obviously bought.

I walked up to the bartender and ordered any drink that had vodka in it. The bartender nodded and got to work.

I sat on a free stool and watched as the bartender made my drink. Some boys came up and sat next to me. I could feel his eyes on me but I tried to ignore him.

"Hey gorgeous," he said, in a flirty tone, "Do you want a drink?"

"I have one, thanks." I said as the bartender handed me my finished vodka-whatever.

"I doubt you've ever tried a Firefly though." He stated with confidence.

I looked at him and was shocked to see that he was attractive. He had messy brown hair and dark brown eyes. He looked Spanish, although with all the strange lighting I couldn't really tell. Strong, square shoulders, clear skin, teeth white enough that I could see them even with all the lights.

I looked him over and mulled the idea in my head. Hazel was busy and I didn't really know anyone else at this party. Letting a cute guy order me a drink wasn't the worst idea in the world.

I half smiled. "You know what? You're right, I haven't."

"Bottoms up!" the guy named Alex and I laughed for like, the 4th time. Or maybe it was the 7th. I had lost count. We gulped our shots and set them down on the bar table, wiping our mouths.

"I still can't believe you didn't like the Firefly," Alex slurred. I giggled and waved my hand. Alex surprised me by catching it and holding it in his.

"I don't know, it tasted funny!" I said rather loudly.

"What! It's an awesome drink!"

"You and I sure have different definitions of the word awesome!"

He rolled his eyes but laughed. "Whatever you say, Gorgeous." He smirked as his eyes migrated from my face to my chest down to my legs. It made me slightly uncomfortable, but I was too drunk to care. Wait - I was drunk. How did I get so drunk?

I wondered how long I've been sitting here with Alex. It must have been at least an hour. He was charming and interesting to talk to and I couldn't deny that I was glad that I had someone to hang out with at this party.
