--------------Author’s Note-----------

So you might be wondering why I’m putting this author’s note at the beginning of this chapter instead of at the end like I normally do.. Well, that’s because this is the chapter that I like to refer to as “the chapter”. You see, just like with most author’s I create one scene in my head. Just one. And then I add stuff onto that one chapter in my head. I add up characters, relationships, and an entire storyline all leading up to that one chapter. This is that chapter for this entire story. It’s the one that’ll change everything and it’s the one that started all of this. This one thought that I randomly came up with off the top of my head on the bus home from school so many months ago. Usually my author’s notes go at the end but I just couldn’t put this one there because you will see as you read this chapter that there just aren’t words to follow. It’s a super long chapter but I just could not separate it. Only two more chapters left! Thank you for one of the last times to my (NOW 100) new friends for reading this story and coming along with me on this journey. <3

 xx, Ashley.

>Delilah’s POV<

“This is my favorite week of this entire season.” Louis told us, his usual grin plastered to his face. I was really excited. We were getting to the end, to the intense parts of the season. It was so scary but it was like a constant feeling of adrenaline and I loved that. “We are now at the part of the season where we will be have two songs per week.” My stomach fell a little. As I turned my head to look at Megan but instead got a camera in my face. Lately I had grown used to the occasional camera here and there but it did get annoying after awhile. “So the two themes this week are One Direction and a message in a bottle.” Lou laughed at our confused faces and went into more detail. “You will each be singing a One Direction song and then the second song is a complete contestant’s choice song. You will pick a song with a message and dedicate it to someone, like a message in a bottle.” Immediately, I knew. I didn’t have to think for two seconds about my message in a bottle. There was only one problem, I was going to get shit for it. A lot of shit for it.

 >Audrey’s POV<

“I’m here.” I smiled even though he couldn’t see me. His back was to me and his body was illuminated by the big moon behind him. It etched out the curves of his body and the tilt of his head, two things that I was very familiar with.

“Were she better, or you sicker, then the stars would not be so terribly crossed, but it is the nature of stars to cross, and never was Shakespeare more wrong than when he had Cassius note, ‘The fault, dear Brutus, is not in our stars/But in ourselves’” He said as I stood beside him staring out at the stars as well.

“John Green.” I mumbled, recognizing the quote. In my peripheral vision, I saw him looking at me. I couldn’t see the expression on his face, but I didn’t really care. Tonight had just begun and it already felt like one of those sentimental nights. You know, the kind where you just want to hug each and every person who had ever meant something to you and whisper in their ears how much you loved them. “Three months ago, if you had told me I would’ve been standing here with you, right now,” I shook my head and smiled at the ground then I took the liberty to look at him, “I would’ve cried.” I grew serious. His eyebrows scrunched up in a look of sympathy. He understood, but he still asked.

“Why?” It was barely audible, but I heard. I sighed and sat down, patting the hard ground beside me. Liam sat gracefully and we both lay down together staring up at the stars above us.
