>Louis' POV< ---Day after Judge's Houses--

"Eleanor. I'm nearly positive!" She continued mixing the batter for her chocolate chip cookies.

"Okay, Lou! But nearly positive, is not positive. Give me proof that she's his daughter. Solid proof, and then I'll believe you." I sighed.

"You know what she said to me the other day? Roman was reading an article on this 12 year old girl who was beat up because she finally decided to stand up for herself in front of a bunch of people that had been verbally bullying her for a few months. Roman got to a part that said that the girl only had one friend that was on her side." Eleanor dropped the spoon, actually intrigued.

"There were actually a couple tears in her eyes and she was staring at me the rest of the time Roman read the article, once he was done she said 'how does that make you feel?' and walked out of the room."

"Maybe she's just a major directioner. And a major Kayne shipper. Was that even their ship name? I don't remember. Too long ago." Eleanor suggested with a shrug. I groaned out of frustration and went into the living room where I collapsed on the couch and turned on the T.V. I couldn't focus on the random show I had turned on, instead I searched my brain for clues to feed my suspicion even more.

>Delilah's POV< ---That night----

"Back when we were on X Factor, it took months to edit an episode." Louis explained to Roman and I as we watched the first night of auditions. We both laughed at the lack of technology people once had to live with. I would not have been able to do it. Now it takes a couple days to edit a show and air it.

"Do you remember a lot from your X Factor days?" I asked him, munching on the last of Eleanor's incredible cookies.

"I remember almost every day of my life after my audition. That was the day my life started." He had left the room, now daydreaming of his younger days. Maybe that audition had changed my life also, I'd liek to hope.

"Think you could give me any tips?" I asked. Roman gave me a look.

"You want tips from someone who didn't even win?" Eleanor laughed, and Louis gave Roman an evil stare.

"Wanna come get some more tea with me?" Eleanor, still slightly giggling, asked me as a commercial came on.

"Course." We went into the kitchen next door where Eleanor started pulling out tea bags, sugar, milk, and honey.

>Eleanor's POV<

"Can I ask you something kind of personal?" Delilah was sitting at our kitchen island as I poured water into four mugs. Me and Lou's matching 'his' and 'her' cups, a Peter Pan cup for Roman, and a, believe it or not, One Direction mug for Delilah.

"Sure." She said with confidence, like she had nothing to hide. I placed one mug in the microwave and turned it on.

"Are you in love with Roman?" I asked, staring at her. Analyzing exactly what she did. She pulled her arms, resting on the counter, in tighter. One sign of uncomfortableness.

"Umm.." She cleared her throat. Two signs of uncomfortableness. I saw her body shift, only slightly, but it still happened. Bingo. Three signs of uncomfortableness. But it is an awkward question, her feeling awkward should be natural. Her eyes watched mine, searching for a clue of what I was doing, but she didn't find one. "I don't believe in love. I'm going to use the restroom." She mumbled quickly. Delilah left the room with her mouth in a tight line. The microwave beeped just then and I pulled out that mug and set in another one.

I tend to over think things. A lot. I over anazlyze every situation and every person I come across. That's why I was so skeptical with Lou's idea. The idea I had come up with to see if what louis thought could be true was a long shot. So maybe it was just me over anazlyzing again, but maybe I just proved Louis right.

I didn't know much about Audrey. In fact, I am ashamed to say that I hated her. I couldn't stand her guts, but only because she was dating my best friends ex-boyfriend. Ironically, I know way more about her now. But even then, because I had heard Louis speak of it, I did know one thing about her.

She didn't believe in love.

A thought can't be hereditary, but you can be raised with certain beliefs.

---------------------------------------------

>Roman's POV<

"Do you know anything about Audrey's family?" Louis asked me as the first episode of the X Factor ended. I looked over at Audrey's motionless, sleeping figure next to me.

"I met her mom." Eleanor's head snapped up and Louis continued to stare at me.

"What was she like?" He asked.

"Well, it was only for a little bit. She seemed shocked to see me, a little flustered. We didn't really plan on going over there? Why do you care?" I didn't mean to sound rude but I didn't really get why Lou was grilling me about Delilah. He shrugged.

"She doesn't mention them much, does she?" He said, like that explained his interest. He turned back to the T.V., paying attention to the brightly colored commercial that was lighting up the pitch black room. I looked back down at Delilah as her eyes fluttered in her sleep, then I remembered something.

"She told me once that she never met her dad." Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Louis tense up. I didn't know why that mattered or why Louis cared but I was determined to find out. Something wierd was going on, and I wanted in on it. I reached down and gently shook the sleepy girl next to me. "Delilah?"

"Hmmmm..." She mumbled.

"Let's go upstairs." Her eyes were still closed so I wasn't sure if she was still asleep.

"Can't we just sleep here." She slowly and quietly mumbled, her voice breaking a little. I laughed.

"But upstairs would be so much more comfy. Think of the nice, warm bed." She stirred a little but remained in her position with her eyes still closed. I sighed and sat back down next to her. Lou laughed a little.

"You guys are welcome to sleep down here if you want to. We're going to bed in a minute anyways." Eleanor told me. I really didn't want to sleep on the couch, we'd be sleeping on a plane tomorrow night and I don't think my back can handle two rough nights in a row. Slowly and carefullly I lifted Delilah off the couch and in my arms. Her head rested lightly on my shoulder and her legs swung from my other arm. I carried her all the way upstairs, shocked by how light she actually was. As I was leaving the room, I could feel Eleanor and Louis' eyes on my back. That suspicious feeling was back in my head.

I placed Delilah in her bed and shut the door. I rubbed her arm a little, hoping she would wake but instead I was greeted with mumbles, probably telling me to go away or something. I really wanted to talk to her, I wanted to know why Louis and Eleanor were curious about her family. I crawled into the bed beside her for the first time since the very first night we stayed here. Even though it was late, I wasn't too tired. I pulled up google on my phone and typed in 'Delilah Davis'.

Her audition came up, a couple pictures from her audition and some fan edits but nothing else. I sighed and closed up my phone, mayeb they were just curious. If Louis wanted to know something about Delilah, he'd find out next week anyways. That's when Paul and him usually do the background checks.
