(Iris's pov)
Today I'm wearing a black dress. Why? Because my great grandmother has past away a few days ago. Today is her funeral. We are waiting in the cemetery, with somber looks, tears in eyes and silent thoughts. Soon the hurst carrying her casket and body roll into view. I hear a voice whisper in my ear "poor poor Iris. So much death and loss in your life" the voice is condescending and sarcastic. I turn to see Saraphina. Her eyes hold a smirk while her lips laugh softly and darkly. A weird feeling comes over me and as I turn to face her completely, my eyes glazed over, I look into her eyes and hum softly"Never laugh when a hurst goes by,
For you will be the next to die.
They'll wrap you up in silk white sheets,
And throw you down about six feet deep.
Worms crawl in, and worms crawl out,
Bugs play rickety on your snout.
But one little bug who's not too shy,
Will crawl in your ear and out your eye.
So never laugh when a hurst goes by,
For you will be the next... To die"I blink and shake my head where the hell did that come from? Saraphina looks at me terrified. Then she vanishes and I turn around. They are unloading my great grandmothers body out of the hurst and as they put her sleek, black coffin into the ground it starts to rain. Prayers and words are said. Roses and other flowers, trinkets and memories are placed by the grave stone. Then the hole is filled with dirt and I watch until I can't see her casket anymore. I watch until my great grandmother is buried forever. I finally cry. I fall to my knees and kiss her grave stone. Tracing her name that's engraved in silver. "I barely knew you but I know you loved me and I know I loved you. I won't forget you. I'll come visit every day if I can" and it's a promise that I refuse to break.

IrisI hear my name being sung by a distant female voice.
Iris
It's getting closer and closer. I look around trying to make sense of where I am. I see a beach, calm waves, seagulls, a cloudless baby blue sky. This place seems familiar.
Iris... Iris help me!
The female voice is coming from the ocean before me. I look at the vast blue of the ocean but I see no figure flailing around. "Where are you?" I a ask her softly. I hear her musical laughter and her voice saying
I'm in the water Iris. Below the surface. Come help me, come swim with me.
Everything in me is screaming to not go, but her music is lulling me to sleep. Her soft voice, sweet and sad take over me. I walk unconsciously towards the ocean. My movements are not my own. She keeps singing and as my toes meet the icy water of the ocean, I shudder. I walk until I'm waist deep, then I'm shoulders deep, then I look down. There I see her beautiful face. Her ungodly like qualities. She reaches out a hand, her eyes panicked. I dip beneath the surface and sink to my knees. Her eyes hold sorrow and they seem to say I'm sorry. She cups my cheeks and kisses my lips then whispers:
"Come and throw your body to the waves
Your soul is lost and still it saves
Your twisting sadness comes undone
Trade a thousand lives for one
Let your existence disappear
You'll have nothing left to fear
Bring your body into me
Let your graveyard be the sea
I'll hold you closer and never let go
Let everyone feel your sorrow
Close your eyes and feel no pain
For your demons have been slain
Come and drink and let it end
Come and drink and let it end..."I can only comply. I close my eyes and let the ocean fill my lungs until I'm nothing more than a captive to its never ending darkness...
I gasp and shoot up in bed. Gasping for air I rush to my window and open it. Letting the cool air come in. Spring is almost over. There's a hint of summer in the air. Blinking away the grogginess from sleep I try to piece together what that dream was about. My mind is fuzzy but still I can't think of why I thought of that dream. To unnerved to think I go and sit down and write it all down. The poem she whispered to me I read, reread and read again. What does she mean trade a thousand lives for one? I'm so confused and baffled that I just sit in my spot and stare at the wall until the dark dawn sky turns into fingers of pink, red, blue, yellow, and orange of the day.

(Saraphina's pov)
I'm flying over the cities, and country side of houses. After Iris sang that song I took off, fear eating my insides. What the hell did she mean? I fly for a few more hours before I sit on a quiet beach miles away from Iris's house. Her words still float in my head even now:
Never laugh when a hurst goes by
I try to think of a logical explanation
For you will be the next to die
My heart rate picks up.
They'll wrap you up in silk white sheets
I blink and tears start to form
And throw you down about six feet deep
I didn't mean to laugh!!
Worms crawl in and worms crawl out
God what have I done?!
Bugs play rickety on your snout
I get up but my legs are too wobbly to hold me
And one little bug who's not too shy
I breath deeply to calm myself but my nerves are ten fold
will crawl in your ear, and out your eye
Oh god please, please, please, don't let me die
So never laugh when a hurst goes by
I shake my head and howl "GET OUT OF MY HEAD!!!"
For you will be the next to...die.
I take to the sky and fly. I rush to the heavens to ask for forgiveness. To see if this song is actually true. But my fear is so great, and I was so distracted that I didn't see the dark object coming for me. I didn't see it shooting straight for me until it was too late.

(Third persons pov)
The angel of God fell. She fell down towards the ground, her wings utterly useless for they have been hit and were damaged. She screams for help and asks God to save her, but she's afraid she won't be heard. As she falls, her heart sputtering to keep going, she thinks that this is it. She's going to die. The ground becomes closer, and closer. Iris she thinks. I'm supposed to help her. I haven't been very nice to her and I haven't been very kind, but that's because I've been jealous of her. I wish I could go back and be the friend she needs. I wish I could start over. Iris please forgive me...? As she falls her eyes close and then...
