(Damen's pov)

It's time.
That's the only thought in my head. With a huge sigh I march towards the street that I've chosen, to be the only safe and un destroyed place. Looking up to the sky I smile and then stare at the beauty of this place. I feel an inkling of sadness but not enough to make me want to stop. Breathing in the fresh air for the first and last time, I growl out "ok line up! Everyone, line up now!!!" I turn and see my little army of people that I've assembled.

Marching back and forth in front of them I start to go over my plan. Laying out the instructions and every little detail. Missing anything is crucial. As I start to wrap up my speech, I look at every one of my people. "Good luck and may no harm come to you. No messing up, this is a moment. A moment of death and truth. This is the start of a new era!!!" There's cheers and shouts and roars as I finish this. I feel the smirk pull at my lips and I feel this feeling grow inside of me that I've never felt before.

Victory.

(Rafael's pov)
I wake up feeling unsettled. Something bad is going to happen. Like end of the world bad. I feel it. Sitting on the edge of my bed I stare at my feet and then head to the living room. I pace back and forth and try to think why I'm so unsettled. Nothing comes to mind. Turning on the tv, I look at the news for anything.

"...girl who was entered in hospital days ago has finally shown some sign of life... Has evaded death. Everyone wants to know how? That's twice now she's evaded it. Luck and God must be on her side. Will be released from hospital in a couple of hours..."

My heart jumps. Iris is alive and she's leaving the hospital. Thank God. I'm about to get up when the news start to change. It's showing a small little neighbourhood and quaint houses. I'm not sure why this is on the news but then I see it. The terror, the destruction. Screams are raging all along the screen, flames and dust erupt from houses. Blood and death is on every corner. And in the middle of it is Damen. There he stands with his hood covering his face, but I know it's him, and holding his hands out. He's controlling the people causing the destruction and he's doing it with a smile. God what has he done??!  I'm about to turn off the tv when I hear a small poof from behind me.

Turning I see Saraphina, looking wind blown and stricken, behind me. "Have you seen-" I nod "yes" "He has to be stopped like now." I nod my understanding. I'm about to start getting ready to head out when the doors to the living room burst open. "What the hell?!!!" I roar. Two bulky men come storming in and they only look dead and dull. Mind control I think. "Rafael Knight and Saraphina Dawn you two must come with us. This is not a request it is a demand." I look between two of them and try to think of a plan to get away, but then the tv news camera zooms in on Damen's face and all of a sudden I hear him say (for my ears only) "are you ready to join me now brother?"

I snarl and spit at him "stop this Damen. Please." He cackles, "take them." Before I can even move I'm knocked to the ground by a burly man and my hands are grabbed, twisted and I hear the snap as my wrist breaks. I grit my teeth against the pain, and glare at my brother. I know he can see me. He laughs but says nothing. My hands are tied behind my back tightly. My broken, and already swelling, wrist throbs. Saraphina, howls. And as I look at the tv fleetingly once again as we are dragged away Damen hisses "I'll see you soon" I growl "Go to hell brother"

His maniac laughter echoes through the room and his whispered, dark reply follows me through our trip back to earth "I am already there"

(Third person's pov)
As the two captives arrive to earth they are both shocked at the calm and quiet. Then they enter the small neighbourhood and are smacked with the reality the life has changed. There's blood and gore everywhere. Death at each turn. They are repulsed and fearful. As they are dragged to see the mastermind behind all of this, something in the male captive stirs. Something in him roars to be released. Something in him wants to fight back. But he can't. As they get closer and closer to their doom his heart pumps calmly to the rhythm of a one syllable name:
Iris.
