(Iris's pov)
Remember that saying that says 'what comes around goes around'? Well I'm experiencing a little bit of that right now. I'm at school and it's lunch time. Rain and I are sitting out side in the morning sun and we are talking when I see this object in the sky falling to the ground. Rain sees it too. "What is that?" She asked. But I know who it is. It's Saraphina. How do I know that? Because I knew she took off after I sang that weird funeral song about death and hursts. And I think she was so distracted that she didn't notice something coming straight for her. Once her shape disappeared behind the trees I jumped up and said "I have to go find that thing" Rain is shaking her head. But I'm not listening. I'm taking off to go find her when all of a sudden I hear other footsteps behind me and then I hear ragged breathing. I pick up my pace and run faster. Then arms come around me and I'm tackled to the ground with a short, raged, cry.

Turning around I snarl "get off me!" But the body that's pinning me down won't move. I wiggle to get my way out but a hand presses over my mouth. I can taste the salt and sweat on his hands. I know it's male by the body size and height. My eyes widen, fear completely taking over. "Don't make a sound or what just happened to Saraphina, will happen to you! Understand?" I swallow and nod. "Good" his voice is deep and gravelly. His eyes-that I can see through a slit in his mask that he is wearing- are an emerald green. Like mine. His hair is brown and wavy like mine, and then I realize his scent is familiar. My eyes widen in understanding. The man before me that is holding me captive, isn't a stranger at all. He's my father.

(3 days later)
I have been trapped in some apartment room with my father for three days. He kidnapped me to get to mom. He's pissed off. But the worst thing is, I haven't eaten or drank ANYTHING in three days. I'm starving and I've lost at least 40 pounds. I'm almost to the point of skin and bones. Dad lets me move around and use the bathroom but he refuses to feed me. Keeps you docile and obedient he said. My father hates that we abandoned him. I laugh at the irony of it really. Today I wake up from the small uncomfortable mattress on the floor, and groan. I ache from head to toe, but I refuse to show any pain, for fear I'll be beaten. My eyes are dead looking, my hair's a mess of grease and knots. My cheeks bones look dull, my cheeks are sunken in, and my fingers twitch and shake constantly from dehydration and malnutrition. As I sit up slowly, my mouth full of morning pasties, I look around the room. The door is open a crack and I hear voices in the other room. Getting up slowly I call out softly "dad?" I hear the giggle of a female voice and then my fathers deep moan as she says something to him. Walking silently towards the door I decide to not disturb him too much.

I open the door and peek down the small hallway, seeing the cost is clear, I walk towards the living room. I make a pit stop at the bathroom to use it, and splash water on my face. Entering the living room entrance way I look to the couch where my father is flirting shamelessly with a beautiful lady. The women has auburn hair in perfect curls, she has olive skin tone, almond eyes, and Rose pink lips. Her face is heart shaped and she's all legs and curves. As soon as I enter though the lady stops talking and looks at me, her facing showing horror. I blush and back away into the darkness. She jumps from the couch and rushes to me. Her hands flitting around my face like she can't quite figure out where to start first. "David what have you done to her? She's skin and bones!!" My dad growls out in a husky voice, "come back her Olivia. Leave her alone. She's just leaving. She'll go back to bed." Olivia-the lady- looks at my father in horror and says "she needs a proper bath, and some food. My god she's like the walking dead." I crack a small smile at that. My dad growls in disagreement. But Olivia stands her ground. "Honey come with me. Let's wash you up and feed you properly" then she whispers in my ear "I'll take you home after. I'll keep you safe. I promise" nodding because it hurts too much to speak I just go along with it.

(After a nice shower and some food...)
I feel so refreshed. I'm not healthy but I don't feel hungry anymore. Dad wasn't happy but he plastered on a smile anyway. Olivia had invited me to stay and chat with them but after a glare from dad, I politely declined and hid in my room. My phone is sitting on my bed and I snatch it up. Looking at my screen I see I have 59 missed messages and 40 missed calls. I listen to all of them and read them all. They consist of:

Iris where are you?!!

Honey are you alright??

God what's happened to you. I haven't seen you in three days. I'm so worried.

Text me back!!! Iris please answer!!

God... Don't be dead...

:(

Iris? This is Thomas... Please pick up or text back, mom is worried sick and John-dad- is angry as hell. Please answer soon

The rest go on similar to this. After listening and hearing dad and Olivia leave the building-I know because he screamed out "we are leaving!!! Be a good girl and behave!!"- I type in our house number and hit call. It rings once, twice, three times. Come on, come on.
"Hello? Anderson residence" I'm stunned for a second before realizing that my last name is now Anderson not Waylen.
"Yes hi. John... Dad.. It's me Iris"
"Iris? Oh my god where have you been? Your mother and I have been worried sick and we thought you died and you'll be so grounded when you come home. You're in big trouble missy" I swallow my tears at his comforting words even though he's saying I'm grounded. I continue to explain everything to him from the start. Once I'm done he's silent. Then he swears and says "shit Iris. Why haven't you called in days then?" "Because my phone was off and I'm not aloud to use it. If I do I get beaten or not fed. I'm so scared John. So so scared. Please come get me!!" I shout and cry. He tells me to hold on and then my mother is on the phone and then everything is explained again and then we hang up with a small plan of action. Help is on the way Iris. Just hold on.
