Terrorist. That word rung in my head. I didn't know what exactly the word meant. All I knew was that if you ever met one , you run the other direction. Or that if you were one , you would be feared like crazy. For some reason, people liked that-being feared.

I wouldn't let my fear show though. All I could say was "oh."

The class continued on and soon it was over.

I walked over to the lunch room to get breakfast.
Oliver, and my other friends Candy and Michelle, walked with me. They were a lot less talkative than usual, just like everyone else. I finally decided not to break the silence anymore with questions. I wondered if my friends were hushed because everyone else was or if they actually knew what was happening.

The four of us ate our food, left, and headed back to class without a word. I found this extremely upsetting but I still kept my mouth shut.

I only had Oliver in my next class. Again.

"Candy and Michelle have almost all of their classes together, don't they?" Oliver pointed out, resting his arm on top of my head. I only liked when Oliver did this but I didn't let it show.

"Yeah, I suppose that they do."

A few moments of silents went by

Olive glanced at the sky. "It's awfully cloudy today." He observed.

I hate small talk but I glanced up anyways at the gray blanket in the sky.
I nodded realizing that he was right. I also hated it when it was cloudy. I prefer the sun and it's warm rays.

Oliver removed his arm and grasped my hand and I could feel my face become pale.

"C'mon we'll be late to class!"
He nearly dragged me to our next class.

The whole class time seemed to be moving slow. Time slugged on and on. Me and Oliver got hardly any work done. Talking, throwing things, laughing, and giggling the entire time.

This all stopped when our teacher, Mr. Crawford, got a phone call. He answered.

"Mr. Crawford's class." He spoke into the phone.
After a couple of seconds he frowned with worry. "B-but-wait. This isn't a drill?"

A few more seconds

"Yes of course."

He slammed the phone down, hanging up.

"Alright everyone, under your desks now! This is not a drill! This is a real lock down!"
