I felt fear crawl up my spine as I grabbed my backpack and scrambled under my desk. Oliver seem completely horrified so I though that that was a good time to finally show my fear in all of this.

"What do you think it is? Do you think that it has to do with the terrori-"
I would have kept rambling but Mr. Crawford shushed me.

I didn't want this to be the end. I didn't want to die here at school. My breathing was heavy and rapid and I could tell that Oliver was trying to calm me down.

I tried to do the same to him but I'm not the best at soothing people so I just let him do the work. Besides, I was afraid that if I spoke I would just burst into tears.

Oliver kept on patting my shoulder and giving me small smiles that said "it's going to be okay. I'm here for you."

I smiled back at him and squeezed my necklace in my sweating palm. I thought of my parents and was starting to wonder if I really truly wanted them around at the moment. I couldn't make up my mind so I just shut my eyes and tried not to cry out in fear.

Moments went by without any sound at all and I started to relax a bit. I hugged my backpack and Oliver had stopped patting me. He was now biting his nails. He did this when he was nervous about something. I watched him and I knew that he could tell I was. He didn't seem to mind though.

All of a sudden a loud crashing sound echoed from outside. Screams could be heard as well.

I started shaking a bit and Oliver's eyes had never been wider.

Mr. Crawford slowly made his way over to the closest window and peered outside. His jaw dropped and he backed away. Then he gathered the kids closest to the door, over to his desk.

Some kids were crying and some were beginning to move away from the door and towards the walls of the classroom. Others just stayed where they were, shifting around and picking at the carpet, nervously.

I, however just sat there, shaking. Oliver began to move towards the wall as another crash and more screams be heard.

More crashes and screams

They seemed to be getting closer to our classroom.

Then there was a boom-like crash that completely shook the classroom. The windows shattered and some of the desks fell over.

That's when I lost it.
Tears streamed down my cheeks and I buried my face into my backpack.

Other kids screamed and some even stood up.
Mr. Crawford stood up and ordered us to all make our ways over to the back of the classroom.

I crawled out from under my desk but remained on the floor. I began to slowly slink away from my desk and to the wall where Oliver was.

But then another crash went off.
The door bust down and I had to cover my ears over the sound. Alarms and screams were audible. Men in all black and some sort of armor rushed into the room with guns and gases.

That's when it started.
