America's POV
~~~
I tried my best to be as quiet as possible, but with my cut foot I found it difficult to do so.
When the Tasitalens came into the hotel I froze.
I heard a loud smack on the ground and looked behind me.
Brooke had fallen. It looked like she had busted her nose. She even spit out a tooth!
I cringed.
They wondered further into the hotel and I lost it. I dove behind a large rock, taking cover.
At that moment, Emery was out of my thoughts.
I figured Brooke could do what I did and hide. If she couldn't make it then I'd of course help her.
I could hear them telling each other orders.
I got on my feet and squatted. As slowly as I could, I rose up until I was fully standing.
I figured that the only way out of here now was the entrance. Even though Tasitalens were outside, I'd rather be out side where there was lots of places to flee. Than be in here where we were basically trapped.
I began to tiptoe towards the entrance. I didn't want to look at them it would be hard to look away. If we made eye contact I'd be dead, no questions asked.
Brooke was gone from where she fell. She was up against a large rock pile. Blood was all over her and her eyes were filled with tears and fear. She was covering her mouth.
Her little cat paw necklace was vibrating against her chest, she was shaking so much.
There was blood dripping from her nose and hand.
I couldn't think of a way to get her attention without getting the Tasitalens attention too. So I just kept moving.
It was hard to move at all with my foot but it was just something I'd have to work with.
I continued onwards without a sound.
The Tasitalens were now near where Brooke was. They were a bit past her rock pile. I couldn't see her anymore-the rocks were in the way-but I knew that saying she was afraid would be an understatement.
I kept going. I was actually shocked that nothing had happened to me yet.
That all went down the drain when my foot accidentally hit a rock, sending it to roll a few inches in front of me.
I froze in my tracks.
The sound had an echo to it.
I heard the Tasitalens soldiers shuffle around in my direction and my heart dropped.
"Hey you!!" One shouted.
A gun was fired.
I let out yelp and darted for the door.
More shots were fired.
"Get back here!" They shouted.
I heard their pounding footsteps growing closer to me with each second.
I threw myself out the building, my foot felt like it was on fire.
Tears were running down my face and I let out a high-pitched scream. I was so scared I didn't know what to do.
I continued to run but soon my foot couldn't take the pain anymore. I collapsed onto the road.
The soldiers were right on my heels.
One of them roughly picked me up off the ground by my underarms.
"I got her!" He shouted.
