I felt pieces of glass land on me as a window behind me broke. A tall man jumped through it with a gun. He didn't seem to notice me but I didn't care. I screamed and ran over to Oliver who was scrambling out of another window across the classroom. Guns were fired.

Never I my life had I ever need so afraid of death.

I threw my backpack over Oliver's head and out the window. He pushed himself out and landed heavily onto the grass. He was panting as he reached his arm back in to help me out.

I climbed up onto the counter and he began pulling me onto the grass.

A boy climbed up next to me and pushed me aside as one of the terrorist came running up to us. The boy had the shove Oliver out of the way to save himself and he did so.

Oliver fell back onto the ground and the man reached out, trying to grab me. I didn't see a gun on him so I knew that I had a chance.

I flicked my leg out at him, kicking him in the face.
He held his face for a second or two before grasping both my legs and yanking me off the counter. I screamed and flung my arms, trying to free myself from his grip. My head hit the floor and I let out a high-pitched yelp. The man then pulled out a knife of some sort.

"Oliver!!"
I called him for help as he was climbing back into the classroom.

The man plunged the knife into my shoulder and left it there. I cried out in agony.

"Oliver! Help me!"

I tried to pull the knife out but that's when he sunk another knife into my other arm. He pulled this knife out though.

Suddenly, Oliver jumped on the man's back and the two flew over sideways. They wrestled. I had no idea that Oliver was so strong.

"Run!"
He yelled, trying to escape the man's gasp.

I nodded a weak nod and slowly got to my feet.
Two girls covered in blood rushed past me, screaming. They nearly dived out the window.
I heard more guns being fired and it made my ears almost explode. I got up into the counter and slid out the window. I painfully landed on the ground. Lucky I landed on my back or else the knife in my shoulder would have stabbed right through me.
My heart was beating do fast. There was so much blood. I stood up and grabbed my backpack. I didn't even bother to put it over my shoulder. I peered back into the classroom, right then Oliver shoved me out of the way and flopped onto the ground, staining the grass with his blood. He said nothing. He just grabbed my wrist and ran to the chained fence that bordered the school field.

I yanked the knife out of my shoulder. I didn't dare throw it. We might need. I tightened my grip on it and ran beside Oliver. The pain was awful and nearly unbearable but I kept running.

We made it to the fence and I could tell that other kids had the same idea we had. Hop the fence.

Oliver took my backpack and tossed it over. He gave me a boost and I fell on the other side.
He climbed over and grabbed my wrist again. I got the knife and backpack and we started running again. Gun were fired in our direction and a few kids fell to the ground, holding their wounds. It made me cringe.
I wanted to help but Oliver had a firm grip on my wrist.

I felt a bit better when two of my classmates, D'Anna and Zayjay, started following us. They appeared to have some weapons on them. I expected that. They probably killed some people while I wasn't around. D'Anna and Zayjay were twin sisters and if you valued your life, then you stood out of their way. They really could kick butt so I wouldn't be shocked if they actually killed a terrorist.

We all crossed the street and kept running down the main road towards the bridge that would lead to the city.
