I don't know if you figured it out yet, but Marinette still can't find Tikki.
So when Ayla turned into Lady Wifi again, and made everyone get out of the mall, Marinette was running away from her completely helpless.
She ran into a dressing room of a Macy's that was in the mall, you know, where half the mall is just that one store?
Ayla had already destroyed so much, she couldn't do another stream of wifi or else she might wreck the place.
"Marinette?" She said loudly, "where are you, little Marinette?"
Marinette covered her ears and closed her eyes and the door. She curled up in a ball in the corner of the dressing room, not making a sound. She didn't dare to look up, until a gust of wind apeared out of nowhere.
She looked up to see Dove, smiling at her with his hands in his pockets and looking down to her. She frowned and glared at him.
"Why are you doing this again?"
"It's his birthday. Remember what I said I was going to do to you if you didn't get me him by his birthday?"
"I never agreed to anything!" Marinette whisper shouted. Dove laughed with a closed mouth and looked down.
"Well, if you never agreed, I guess I never agreed to not kill you." In that instant, she heard static, making her sure that Ayla was on her way. With every step that she took, she made a static sound.
"Even though a bird or a butterfly is fragile and weak," she heard him snap his fingers, and he started to fade away, "they can always fly higher than man could themselves."
With that, multiple butterflies disappeared, and she heard the static right in front of her door.
I love that quote to be honest.
Not too long now, only about three or four more chapters!
