Adrien's birthday was all about Chloé.
Not his choice, of course, but was all about Chloé since she took him out shopping, them bought herself about six different pairs of shoes for the wedding. Adrien got nothing but boredom.
"How do you like these, baby?" she asked him at another store. He winced at the name baby, but said they are nice.
I don't know if you noticed yet, but Adrien couldn't find Plagg, just as Marinette can't find Tikki.
If he could, he would transform, escape, and go find Marinette. Not be stuck here with a tramp he knows is cheating on him. Not that she didn't like Adrien, she adored him, but she also like someone else.
Adrien would give anything to just ditch the wedding that was scheduled for later that night.
"Oh, Adrien!" She said, dropping the shoes she was holding, "let's go to the mall! I'm sure there is a huge sale for brides!"
Adrien rolled his eyes and got up, not answering her.

Once they drove up to the mall, they instantly saw multiple people outside, peering inside through the windows. Adrien and Chloé both looked as well, but through the car window.
"I can't believe they would actually close the mall!" Chloé said pouting. Adrien ignored her and got out of the car, to see what was happening.
He was able to clear a path to the front of the mall, and see into the Macy's department.
He didn't see what he thought he would though.
