Hey guys! Hope your enjoying the story so far! I also wanted to let you guys know that I have published another fanfiction called Tale of a New Girl. It's a Daryl Dixon fanfiction but its based long before the apocalypse. I would really appreciate it if you went and checked it out! Thanks!

Daryl's P.O.V:

Over the next few days, everyone went back to doing their own thing. Taylor was healing up and walking around now, Rick still wanted her to rest and heal up so I would go into what became "our" room and kept her company. We became closer over this time with being together alone and all. She was easy to talk to and I knew once she knew some things about me, she wouldn't run off and tell the rest of the group.

We're in our room right now and I'm sitting in the chair by the bed while she's sleeping. She looks so peaceful when she's sleeping, it makes me happy to know she can't feel any pain or soreness.

"Hey Daryl?" I looked up to see Rick in the doorway. I replied with a "hmm?".

"I need your help. Shane came out of the woods saying that Randall got away and he was tracking him. He said that Randall jumped him and got his gun. We need to find him." Rick said sounding real urgent. I nodded,

"I'll be right back." I whispered in Taylor's ear and kissed her forehead. I knew she probably couldn't hear me but I didn't care. We had filled Taylor in on the Sophia and Randall incidents since she wasn't around when the Sophia ordeal went down. She was very understanding though and comforted Carol as much as she could.

Rick and I had walked downstairs and out on the front porch to find everyone standing around waiting.

"Are you guys gonna go out and find him?" Carol asked

"Of cour-"

"But I thought we were gonna let him go? So why should we go looking for him when the problems solved." Andrea spoke up cutting off Rick.

"We were gonna let him go, but not while he's running free on our camp with a gun." Lori said

"Alright, alright, alright! We are going to find him, now lets split up into teams. Shane and I will head East. Daryl, how about you and Glenn track him starting back at the barn." Rick said pointing toward the barn he escaped. I nodded and looked at Glenn then back at Rick. I grabbed my crossbow, a flashlight, and my knife. We headed off.

Taylor's P.O.V:

I woke up to no sign of Daryl around. I didn't think much of it and climbed out of bed carefully. My wound was healed but was still very sore. I stumbled out of the room and down the stairs, I found Herschel, Lori, Carol, Andrea, Beth, and Maggie sitting in the living room.

"Hey guys, have you seen Daryl?" I asked not to anyone in particular.

"Taylor, Randall escaped from the barn. The men went out to look for him. They should be just find though." Beth said with her sweet little voice. I wasn't scared or anything about Daryl getting hurt. But it still worried me. We waited in the living room in silence for about an hour until I heard footsteps coming onto the porch.

Daryl and Glenn came through the front door. Daryl scanned the room and walked over to me and hugged me.

"We found Randall, but as a walker." Daryl said real serious.

"He must have been bit then." Herschel added

"Well, there ain't a bite on him. His neck was snapped though." Daryl said, just then we heard a gunshot ring out not too far from here. Everyone ran out onto the porch to see if anyone could see anything.

"What was that?" Lori asked real concerned.

"Maybe they found a walker." Beth said

"No, they wouldn't fire a gun for one walker. They would use something quieter that wouldn't draw attention like a gunshot. " Lori said, "I need to get Carl." She ran inside and up the stairs.

I saw some movement out of the corner of my eye and turned to look at what it was. I saw bodies, at first just a few and I was thinking it was Rick and Shane. Then more started appearing and they weren't human.

"Oh my god! There's a herd coming onto the farm!" I said and looked at Daryl, I was scared and just wanted to lock myself in a closet. Then another part of me wanted to jump over the railing on the porch and fight. I opened my mouth to say something but before I could get a word out Lori busted through the door.

"I can't find Carl! He's not in the house!" She said panicking, Carol jumped up from where she was sitting,

"We're going to go back in there and find him, okay?" She said calmly and ushered her into the house to look.

"What do we do? Should we just hide until the herd passes or run?" I turned and asked Daryl.

"We can't hide, a herd that size'll tear tha house down." He said turning to Herschel. He had a gun in his hand and was loading it.

"This is my farm, I'll die here." He said cocking the gun.

"Well, it's a good a night as any." Daryl said while hopping off the porch, he turned and helped me down, when I got down he handed me his gun and some extra bullets. We both started firing away immediately at the walkers that were getting closer. There seemed to be hundreds of them.

We just kept firing away, the air was filled with bullets flying, corpses growling, and blood splattering as they hit the ground. I turned to around to shoot at some walkers coming from behind us when I saw an orange glow.

The orange glow was fire coming from the barn. What the hell is going on? I thought, I kept shooting at the walkers till I heard an engine roaring. Daryl zoomed up to me on his motorcycle and I hopped on, he told me to keep firing as we drove.

I turned to my right and pulled the trigger when all I heard was a click. I'm out of ammo, I tucked the gun in the back of my jeans and held on tight as Daryl sped off the farm. The was covered in walkers, or at least what was left of the farm. A tear slid down my cheek as I looked back at what used to be called our home. It was gone and in ruins now, never to be the same again.
