Our heads shot up toward the front of the store to find a herd of about 20 walkers piling into the store. They must have heard our vehicles and followed us. They haven't seen us though which was good.
Before I knew it, Daryl and I were running through the store trying not to get caught. We had ran to a section with furniture or at least what was left of the furniture. Daryl found some of these big trunks and had me climb in, I did as I was told and jumped in without hesitation as he did the same thing.
We quietly but quickly shut the lids to shield us from the sight of the walkers. I could hear them getting closer and saw there shadows pass by from the tiny slot in the trunk that I could see out of. The trunk was starting to get real hot and I was sweating like crazy.
We waited for about 10 minutes and most of the walkers had cleared out by then. There were only a few walkers by the store entrance that we could nail on the way out. Daryl climbed out of the trunk and opened mine.
"Ye alright?" He asked and offered his hand to help me up.
"Yeah, I'm just burning up from being in there." I said as I took his hand and climbed out. He grunted in reply and we soon started walking out of the store killing those few walkers.
"Daryl! Taylor!" I looked up to see everyone else running toward us with relieved looks.
Daryl was shaking the guys hands while they hugged me, except Shane. We just stuck to a hand shake.
"What all did you guys grab?" Rick asked,
"Shit!" I yelled annoyed, I slammed my hand down on the truck which we had gathered around.
"We didn't grab the bags, the walkers came in and we bolted to hide in those trunks. There still there were we were..." I paused and looked up as everyone had confused faces except Daryl. He knew what I was referring to.
"Ah, ok, We'll jus go back an git it. No big deal." Daryl finished saying as he threw his crossbow over his should since he had previously set it down.
We turned around and started walking to the main entrance when I started to hear more growling. Daryl stopped me and peered in the door from behind a wall.
There were about 10 walkers in there now. They must have came through the back cause we never sas them come into the front entrance. Grreeaattt.... I thought.
"What do we do now?" I asked.
"Git yer knife ready, I'll cover ye, ye cover me, got it?" He said, I nodded and readied my knife in my hand as he loaded his crossbow.
We slowly walked in readier than ever. He sailed a few arrows into nearby walkers heads as I sunk my knife into the eyes of these brain eaters.
I made my way to the isle where the bag was and reached down to grab it when three walkers jumped out from behind the shelf and stumbled over to me snapping their jaws.
I killed one but the other two slammed into me causing me to drop my knife. I pushed one of them back that looked like it used to be a man dressed in a auto-men's attire.
It grabbed me trying to take a bite out of my neck when I pushed him away. I must have pushed it so hard that it caused me to fall backwards.
It fell on me, its weight crushing me trapping me underneath it. It was about an inch from my face, I used all my strength to keep it far enough that I didn't get bit.
"DARYLL!!!" I screamed, my arms were aching from me pushing at the walkers chest and head.
Just as it was about to take a bite out of my neck, an arrow landed right through its temple killing it instantly. Daryl came over and helped me pull off the heavy walker.
