Saturday, January 3rd

Ariana Grande

"You two did amazing!" Pattie says, hugging us.

"Thank you, mom. Can you let us go now?" Justin says.

"Oh yeah, sorry. Ariana, we need to go baby shopping!" She says excitedly.

"Umm, I already bought one." I say.

"Yeah, from me." Justin says, smirking.

"No, I'm talking about shopping for the baby. Can we go now?"

"Oh. I guess." She squeals and drags me out the door.

"Yay! Come on, Justin."

We get in her car and she drives to the furniture store.

"What kind of crib do you want?"

"Umm, what does that mean?" I ask.

"What color? And what material?"

"Can we just go look?"

"That's an idea." We walk inside and straight to the kids section and start looking around.

"Ooh, this is adorable." Pattie says.

"I like it." I reply, rubbing my hand along the wood.

"Justin, do you like this?" I ask.

He nods.

"It's cute."

"That was easy."

"That was just the crib. Now you have a whole room to figure out."

1 1\2 Hours Later

"Did we seriously just find a whole room worth of stuff in 90 minutes? I need to go shopping with you everytime." I say.

"Yes, and now we can go to Lowe's for paint and the carpet store for the floor." Pattie says as we exit the furniture store.

"Coming from me, the room is gonna be pretty cute." Justin says.

"Aww, Justin's not just a knucklehead." Pattie laughs as we get in the car.

1 Hour Later

"Where's the room gonna be?" I ask.

"There's 2 guest rooms and ones upstairs, right next to yours. I was thinking there."

"That's fine with me. As long as she doesn't wake me up in the middle of the night." Justin says.

"Oh, you're in for a rude awakening, my son. You woke me up twice every night." Pattie replies.

"Oh great." He sighs and I giggle.

"Welcome home, my good children." Pattie says, pulling into the driveway.

"Ari!" Jazmyn yells.

"Hey Jazzy." She wraps me in a hug and I smile.

"You're almost late for dinner. Come on!" She tugs in my arm and I follow her into the dining room.

"Welcome home. How was shopping?"

"Fun. We got the whole room. The decorators will be here Monday. It'll be done around Wednesday or Thursday." We sit around the table and start getting food.

30 Minutes Later

"Thanks for dinner, Syd." Austin says.

"No problem." She smiles, cleaning the table.

We all walk into the living room and sit down.

"Mommy, can we play a game?" Jason says.

"That depends. What game is it?"

"Life?"

"Sure. Go get it." He walks out and comes back in 5 minutes later with the Life box.

"Why did it take you so long?"

"I couldn't find it." He places the game on the coffee table and opens the box.

30 Minutes Later

"And I win!" Jazmyn says.

"No, actually you don't. Its not the person who retires first, its the person with the most money. So therefore, the game is not over." Justin says.

She sighs.

"Ugh! Stupid rules." She sits back as we all go through the game until its over.

"Now you can count your money." Justin says.

We spend 5 minutes counting our money then Austin helps Jaxon.

"How much do you have? I have $829,670." Pattie says.

"$1,382,890." Austin says.

"$700,245." Jaxon says.

"$3,456,720." Jazmyn says, smiling.

"$3,500,350." Justin says.

I look down and giggle.

"$3,500,350." I say slowly.

"It looks like a tie." Austin says.

"Now where's my $100?" I ask.

"You're not old enough to legally gamble." Justin says.

"I'm not gambling. But, we discussed $100 if I won."

"But you didn't. We both did. Its not like you need anymore money anyway."

"Well give me $50." He sighs, taking out his wallet.

"Thank you." I smile and stand up.

After helping clean up the game, I say goodnight and go upstairs, Justin following behind me.

"Can I have my money back now?"

"No. But I'll give you $49."

"What's the point of that?"

"Take it or leave it, lover boy." I smirk and he sighs.

"You're so complicated."

"Do you want the money or not?"

"Not." I shrug.

"Fine with me."
