Chapter 71

Tuesday, August 12th

Ariana Grande

"Ready to go, angel?" Justin says.

"Yeah." I nod and pick up Jaycee.

She's asleep but I hope she wakes up before we get to the photoshoot.

"Mom, we're leaving." He says.

"OK. Have fun. And if you don't take some good pictures, I'm gonna kill you."

"I'm assuming you're not talking to Ariana and the baby." He mumbles.

"Not at all." She laughs and we walk outside to the car.

15 Minutes Later

"Ariana, Jaycee can go with you or go by herself. You'll probably want to take her with you."

"Yeah." I nod.

"OK. Your dressing room is over there, and Justin's is right next to it. Your names are on the door, just in case you don't find it, which is unlikely because it's right there, but I'm gonna shut up now and find something to do." He walks away and I take Jaycee into my dressing room.

"Ariana. We've missed you." Dalina says.

"Hi." I smile and hug both of them.

"As Dalina should already know, I called dibs on getting the baby ready.  So haha." Daniel says.

I roll my eyes at his silliness and he takes Jaycee from my arms.

"You said her favorite colors are pink, white, and gold?" He asks.

"Yeah. Why?"

"Mommy's princess is going to look amazing." He says, walking into the bathroom.

"And mommy is going to look even better." Dalina replies.

"Doubt it!" I giggle.

"The theme today is white and gold. So your outfit is white and gold, obviously. Do you want to change first?"

"No. Hair and makeup first."

"Gotcha."

45 minutes later, Dalina has my hair semi-curled and in a ponytail and a little bit of makeup on.

"I'm sure you hear this a lot, but you don't really need makeup. Just a little because of the lights." I blush.

"Now get your ass dressed." She grabs my 1st outfit from the couch and shows it to me.

"It's a gold crop top and white jean shorts. And don't forget the white high top vans." I almost scream.

"I love you!" I wrap her in a hug and she hugs back then pulls away.

"Get dressed."

"Yes, mother." I giggle as she shakes her head.

After I'm dressed, I put my shoes on and stand up.

"How do I look?" Dalina spins me around and she can't help but smile.

"Amazing, awesome, beautiful, cute... The list is endless. Are you ready to see your baby girl?"

"Is she ready?"

"100%." Daniel says from the bathroom.

"Bring her out." Dalina opens the door and Daniel walks out with Jaycee on his hip.

"My princess!" I squeal.

"She's so adorable!" Jaycee smiles at all the attention she's getting.

"I couldn't ask for more."

"Would you like a fashion show?" Daniel asks.

"Of course."

"Since she can't walk, I'll just tell you what she's wearing. It's really simple, but cute."

"She has on a plain white onesie with a gold tutu and pink converse."

"Aww! I love the shoes. They make everything better." He gives me the baby and I hold her on my hip.

"I believe your knight in shining armor is ready for you. Follow me." Dalina says.

She opens the door and we follow her out.

"Follow me, I'm sure she's over here." I hear Scooter's voice.

"You said that the other 5 times." Justin.

"Okay, but, Dalina said she was done and they were looking for us."

"Maybe it was a joke. To keep us away from- oh my God." Justin cuts himself off when he sees us.

"I think I just died and went to heaven." He slowly makes his way to me, as if it's a dream.

"Is this real?" He whispers, touching me.

"I would say it's pretty real." I smile.

"You're amazing." He days to Dalina and Daniel.

"Why thank you. I try." Dalina says.

"Starting with the baby!" The photographer says.

"I'll take her. She'll be okay. Just a couple shots." Another woman says.

I nod and she takes Jaycee to the background. She sits her in the pillows and she immediately reaches her arms up.

"Might wanna do this quickly." Justin mumbles.

"I need Ariana over here." The photographer says.

I walk next to the camera and hold Jaycee's attention long enough for him to get a couple good shots, with a smile.

"Excellent. Here's a bear to keep you company." Scooter says.

He picks her up from the floor and goes off to the side.

"Ariana and Justin, I have some excellent ideas for you 2."

45 Minutes Later

"Great job today, everyone! There will definitely be more in the future." Scooter yells as everyone begins packing up.

He gives Jaycee to Justin who gives her to me.

"Walk with me." He says, leading us outside.

"How are we doing with music?"

"I'm just saying, I think I've written at least 3 songs in the last 2 weeks." I say immediately.

"Same." Justin says.

"That's excellent. I'll call you and we can set up a studio date. But I'll let you get home. I see princess is tired." Jaycee squirms in my arms, on the verge of crying.

"Bye Scoot." I hug him, squeezing Jaycee in between us.

She giggles for all of 2 seconds then goes back to her state of whining.

"Bye." Justin shakes Scooters hand and we walk to the car.
